Eli & Ellie

Eli has always followed Ellie like he's her own personal shadow. Sometimes people are quick to brush them off as siblings, but it's a bit beyond that. They walk in perfect tandem when they're together, they blink at the same time, take their meals and water at the same moments - and Eli is happiest firmly at her side. Ellie prefers the company of Maxine and John, but Eli's often not too far behind the trio. If Eli could, he would fuse with her to become one singular collie - that's how dangerously dependent he is on her.

The common belief in the breeding program is that Eli and Ellie are the same soul, just split into two bodies. Her boldness and soundness was funneled into the perfect dog, and all of her insecurity and fear ended up in another. Only when the two are together are they truly whole.
