Sefu contributes to his pride by being a protector, a warrior who defends his pride and family with claw and teeth. Since he had first observed one of the elder warriors within his Mother's pride -whom resides within the vast desert territory known as the Sacred Sands- defend the pride against an hyena attack. Since then he was amazed and intrigued to the arts of fighting to protect an individual. He received training by Aki and after a few years under his wing became a formidable warrior. He quickly rose up the ranks when he placed his life on the line, by fending off an attack from a large kudu bull who charged for seemingly no reason towards a young cub. Sefu jumoed into the path of the chargeing bull and knocked the young cub aside. He recieved a few minor blows from the bull but all in all he was okay.
