Epilogue

It seemed like hours had gone by after the building began to collapse and Apollo got trapped beneath some of the rubble. Yet in reality, only a minute or two had passed as he watched the others flee from the collapsing structure. He bit his lip realizing at this very moment he didn’t want to die and yet this was just punishment for the pain he had brought to the others. Oh, what he’d give to see his friends one more time before everything came to a dreadful end. As he began to shut his eyes he could hear footsteps drawing closer and soon he could hear muffled voices. He hesitated before opening up his eyes, his vision blurred by the blood leaking from his head and trickling down into his eye. Even so, he could recognize his two friends rushing towards him. Part of him was convinced this was just some pathetic dream yet a hopeful part of himself was begging for this to be real. Within seconds his please were answered as he felt trembling hands grab at his arms beginning to tug him bring him from beneath the fallen debris that had him captive in the crumbling building. Just like that he was free yet...it was hard to stand he felt light and unstable in fact if it weren’t for the two being there to help support his weight he would surely fall over. He glanced over to the smaller male, Seiji, unable to read his expression as he had to squint to make out any of the details in his face. After a few minutes of struggling to recognize his friend, he glanced to the other male helping hold him up. His heart skipped a beat as he could make out Harbour just barely. His head began to swirl as he locked eyes with Harbour or well as best as he could. He noticed the other trying to say something but it was clear that he wasn’t catching any of it. As Harbour went to pick him up Apollo seemed to trip over himself as he moved away from Seiji to shakily cup Harbour’s cheeks in his hands. As the other seemed to freeze up and meet his gaze again Apollo realized his hands were trembling as he held the other. His body was littered with bruises and cuts he could tell just by the blurry sight of his hands but he quickly shook that thought away as he took a moment to simply gaze into the other’s pale blue eyes. His lip quivered as he wanted to speak the simple words ‘I love you’ but he couldn’t make them come out as easily as he hoped. Fearing that he’d die in this building without ever truly telling the other boy how he felt he brought Harbour’s face closer fighting back tears as he hesitated before eventually pulling him into a kiss. For a second he felt regret knowing he shouldn’t have rushed in but after a few seconds he felt the other bring his hands up to hold his face gently. Apollo leaned back with wide eyes wanting to apologize or say something but before he could Harbour quickly picked him up bridal style causing the light feeling from before to fade as he realized where they were. He shakily laid his head against Harbour’s chest feeling his head swirl with several thoughts and questions after the kiss but right now he could barely speak one word due to blood loss. With a gentle sigh he shut his eyes and felt the pain of his wounds finally settle in but knowing Harbour was nearby kept him at ease.
