"Think we should just make a run for it?"

"And get my fur soaked?" Elko sniffed, maintaining her slow and steady pace. "No thanks, I take a lot longer to dry than you do."

Another gust of wind buffeted the pair, bringing with it an icy slap of rain. Cambria turned to see her friend looking wet and frustrated, and smiled sheepishly at her. "I guess we're getting wet either way."

Elko said nothing, just growled under her breath and continued her slow march forward. Cambria matched her pace, grateful for the umbrella even if being wet didn't bother her nearly so much. "You know," she pointed out, "by the time we get to shelter it's going to have blown over."

Her friend huffed. "Of course it will, that's how it always goes."

"Heh, maybe next time we can bring rain coats just in case."

Elko gestured angrily at the sky with one paw. "It wasn't supposed to rain today! I don't want to lug rain coats everywhere for a measly 2% chance of rain!"

Cambria laughed quietly and nudged the other monster. "C'mon, it could be a lot worse. At least we've got your umbrella."

"Fine, whatever, lets just keep going."
