Griffies were well-known in the 1800's. They were often hunted for their fur and feathers, as feathers were in high demand. In response, griffies either separated themselves from society and formed outlaw gangs in retaliation to "hunters", or became circus acts in order to profit off displaying their colourful feathers. Sometimes they were even voluntarily pets, enjoying a comfortable life with their owners.

In modern day era, they live amongst other unlikely creatures--including demons, sirens, centaurs, etc. They prefer to stay in groups, living in small communities together. Your griffy can take place in either era.

1. You must have a slot before making a rare griffy. Griffies are a semi-open species. You do not need to ask for a slot to make a common or uncommon griffy.
2. Designs must be approved before use.
3. No designs that are offensive in any way. Nothing racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. This does not include culturally inspired aspects to your griffy. As long as it isn't hateful or insensitive towards a culture or religion, it is okay.
4. No "griffy versions" of established characters in media. All griffies must be your own characters.
5. Griffies can identify however you want; cis, non-binary, trans.
6. Deformities and disabilities are okay! Missing limbs, wings, eyes, due to birth defects or trauma, is all okay.
7. No hybrid species.
8. Griffies are not for commercial use.
9. Designs and slots cannot be sold unless you spent money on them before I opened them. All profits for rare griffies go towards charity, so you cannot sell them. Your choice to donate does not add value.
10. If you do not wish for your design to be a griffy anymore, that is okay. Please make some changes so they no longer resemble one. Feel free to check with an admin about this.
11. NSFW is okay as long as the creator and the character is 18+.
