Orion (main export of wine and drink). (france , finland and japan inspo, shangshu in arknighta. )(star naming theme) (THE WESTERN CONTINENT)

- fauna include the glass shrimp and moon jellyfish- tourist destination.
- despite how cold it is, they grow unique variations of many crops- the winter sugarcane and sheer citrus.
- The majority of the city is up at the peak where it is the coldest, but the majority of farmlands are near the lower reigons of the mountain.
- There are irrigated rice fields on low-lying alluvial plains and valley bottoms and non-irrigated fields to grow vegatables on higher ground that is difficult to irrigate.
- the valley of orion is lovely,  boasting blue flowers near year round. The bees that pollinate the flowers produce a unique blue honey that is always chilled.
- considered old fashioned, but have switched to coin.
- commonplace to produce wine as a city staple- those up top in the city are often commercial brands or cheap swill, the real cultural wine is unique to each small village.
- the mountains three go high above the clouds.
- towns at the bottom of the mountain have orchards of Banora and grape vines. There is a large drainage basin in the space between all three mountains where rainwater collects (most towns collected there)
- Checkpoint settlements are very small and really just contain a few empty houses. A lot of stone statues of personal guardians.
Esentially chongqing (what a nightmare LMAOOO)

Biscout (??? fucking britain??)(mushroom or stone or earth naming theme)? (THE EAST CONTINENT)
South biscout (farmlands and small towns)--------
Mantle
Geotric
Knighta
Brimber
North biscout (large cities)---------
vicotria
Toutasm metropolis (tourism)
Niah

- The closest northern continent "island" of faolan to the central (the core).
- has southern biscout, mostly for the underground farmlands (receive a lot of natural light, less enclosed)
- also north biscout, which has the Toutasm metropolis for tourism and trade, uses more artificial light
- transportation is through automated pulley systems in southern biscout with GMO mushrooms and lowlight flora (eco-brutalist carved from thr wall)
- Northern biscout has large cities and an MRT (underground transportation),  victorian architecture
- majority high tech. Faels native in this area have evolved extremely large pupils and do not do well in bright light.
- emphasis on tiling, carving, and stonework, and light. Big fan of shadow puppetry.

Central (thailand, singapore, philippines, vietnam, malaysia inspo)(CORE)

- Yang (a smaller city located on the island Baihu)------
- Hub------
- Huro------
- Westerling------
- Downtown cresswater
- Desmid
- Petalan- mostly fishing towns, very little farmland in westerling. Does not have a "coral coast," that's off the island of huro.
-Mostly flat land with few hills and mountains. The only mountainous zone is up north, with the giant Seng.
-Majority of the island is covered in jungle save for the coasts (why most of the towns are built there).
- the city is powered by technology from Biscout and Yan, with the majority of trade coming from down south.
-main towns are listed, there are many smaller settlements. The majority of central is "old fashioned."
- Medium population, but towns are usually densely packed. There are many smaller seaside fishing towns.
- There is a "bund," with a big stretch of a bamboo walkway all along the coast, around 50km- a real engineering marvel.
- There are lights on it powered by watermills.
- the main export of the majority of faolan's seafood. They farm seaweed with long ropes, oysters and clams with baskets, shellfish with nets.
- homes in barrai-dei are made of driftwood, as well as in the hollowed out logs of giant dead mangrove.
They also have communities above the water.
- strong tradition of fish-keeping and fish shows.
- cities more tourism-centric are very art-deco.
- barrai dei has an underground volcano in their swamp, titled "klwam." it is dormant, but heats up the surroundings.

 Huro/the cosmic basin

- Cloudsgate Pollia
- Calluna

Kestrel Gyre/the crescent caerula
bigass crater. home to a lot of wildlife. The climate is cold, humid, and wet. The city of Kestrel Deep strays away from the natural light of the crater. Uses their own bioluminescence lamps instead of Yan technology.
- has the moonpool and the crater out-research.
-Gran Faro has a giant crater that leads down into subterra. The spray and maw of subterra is guarded by strong barrier magic held by anchored totems. One who dives into the crater will be re-constructed in subeterra.
The city of subterra is centered around the maw. The underground city has a lot of suspicious activity, but is also home to plenty of scientists looking to study the unique underground fauna.
- abyssal faels aren't really abyssal. They have a lot of rituals concerning waves and water. Practicers of re-animation. Life in death is sacred.
- weirdly spiritual. Kind of scary. ceremonial outfits have a lot of ropes, tassels, and plates. (for artists, they are amphipod and isopod based.)
- sells a special kind of incense called canhou, a tree originally from yan caves, imported to gyre. The trees are now extinct in yan due to deforestation.
- previously got invaded the geccs. They are now deeper underground. Their main exports are seafood and minerals. and tourism, but nobody likes to talk about that.
- has a lot of leviathans that float through the subterra, living ghosts in bygone water. Weird ecosystem.
