The Keane region was always secluded away from most of the world, and when the rapid spread of a mutated Pokérus caused the temporary ban on travel to and from the region it only hastened the strange effects that the virus had on the local Pokemon. Curious about the strange traits popping up even in wild Pokemon, and the appearance of Hybrids and Deltas, what was once the Lab where many new trainers began their journey had a new focus: finding out everything they could about the changes to Pokemon genetics!
