Luceva

Luceva: Closed Species

The Luceva are a closed species created by Pey and Crouton. They are a demon species that were created to bring order and control to some of the more sinister sides of life. They are renown in the Underworld for their efficiency and organisation.

The Luceva are split into four different clans; Ombra, Eagla, Iluze and Anima. The shared aim of all the clans is to ignite terror on the human realm but they all have different skillsets in order to complete this. However, Luceva are free to befriend and enter into relationships with citizens from other clans and Luceva law encourages this to promote harmony. Any activities that are seen to be promoting clan supremacy are strictly forbidden and are punishable by realignment.

At birth, a Luceva does not yet have an assigned clan. They will not yet have a clan symbol on their chest and all other traits will be completely golden. Clan status is not hereditary and young Luceva often find themselves assigned to a different clan than both of their parents. As a child, it is believed that the fates decide which clan best suits and the first indication of clan status occurs when a stripe of Luceva's hair begins to turn a certain colour. Once a Luceva comes of age, without warning, their body will undergo a painful process where their clan symbol will emerge on their chest and their other physical Luceva attributes will begin to bare the colour of their given clan. They will be assigned an elder mentor from their clan and, from this point on, they must begin to conform to their clan's ideals.

Those Luceva who stray from their given path will face realignment. A realigned Luceva has physical traits which represent that they have betrayed their species. Any Luceva who continues to shame the species will transition fully into a forsaken Luceva. Forsaken Luceva are despised by the rest of their species and all of their traits will turn completely red to highlight the shame they have brought to their species. For this reason, an acclaimed Luceva will never wear red.

They abide by the Luceva laws and follow their clan's mission. You will never seen an acclaimed Luceva wearing any item of red clothing, the idea of being associated with a forsaken Luceva in any way disgusts them.

Clans Ombra and Eagla

Ombra Clan Colour: Navy Blue

The Ombra clan work completely in the shadows with their powers allowing them to control movement of shadows. Their main aim is to use the shadows to trigger extreme paranoia. If you think you've ever seen something move in the corner of your eye, it was probably an Ombra behind it. You convinced yourself that you were seeing things, but were you? So that they can blend in with the shadows even further, the Ombra opt to wear dark clothing. Their clan colour is navy blue and some Ombra, in addition to the stripe of blue that they have in their hair, will choose to incorporate this colour into their clothing.

Eagla Clan Colour: Purple

The Eagla have psychic powers and can sense all of your biggest fears and thrive off of the anguish that people feel when they are petrified. As the Eagla do not have projection abilities, they will often work together closely with the Iluze clan to make someone's fears become a reality. The Eagla like to look as intimidating as possible and do not care about fitting into societal norms through their attire. For an Eagla, the more eccentric that they can look and the more attention that they can draw to themselves, the better. Because of this, they will often wear bright and vibrant colours. Colour clashing, what's that? The Eagla have never heard of it. Their clan colour is purple and some Eagla will represent elements of this through their dress.

Realigned

Realigned

Realigned Luceva

Realigned Luceva are transitiong between the two other states of alignment. They can either be attempting to atone for their actions and realign from forsaken back to acclaimed. Or, they are at a state where they are on the path of treachery and beginning to go against the laws of their species and are realigning from acclaimed to forsaken. Their bodies will undergo changes which reflect their state of alignment.

  • Those realigning back to acclaimed try their best to fit back in with their clan's norms and will try to represent their clan and not wear red. Those realigning to forsaken may opt for more red or go against their clan's norms.

Clans Iluze and Anima

Iluze Clan Colour: White

The Iluze are masters of deceit and can conjure any hallucination at any given time. They use this skill to make your nightmares a reality. Some of the more powerful iluze can cast hallucinations upon a crowd of people at the same time. However, others with slightly less power can only create one hallucination per person. Unlike other clans, the Iluze cannot customise their hair how they wish. As children, all hair on their body begins to turn ghostly white. To fit in with their appearance, the Iluze mainly like to wear light colours and their clan colour is white. However, do not let their appearance deceive you, there is nothing light or bright about the Iluze.

Anima Clan Colour: Green

The Anima are the only clan that work purely with the dead. When a being dies, their soul is sent to the Anima to decide their fate in the Underworld. Anima are capable of inflicting eternal torture on those souls who are deemed deserving. The Anima are very arrogant beings and their choice of attire often reflects this. Essentially, the Anima do not fear anyone in life as, in death, they are the governors of your soul. They like to wear tight fitting clothing that accentuates their body and their clan colour is green which they will often choose to add to elements of their clothing. It's probably best to not piss an Anima off.
