Floralias Origins

Floralias Origins

Welcome to Gardenia, the land of the Fae with its lush green forests, vast cave system and various flora and fauna. The air is thick with mana, trouble and mischief lurks in every corner. This continent was originally home to two species of Fae the Faelos and the Faegus.

The Faelos also known as the Floral Fae are typically adorned with flowers or leaves for hats with butterfly-like wings on their back. The Faegus also known as the Fungus Fae are typically adorned with fungi for hats with insect-like wings on their back.

Over the years humans started to expand into the nearby region. Curious about the lush lands to the south the humans started to explore Gardenia. The appearance of the humans was very startling to the Fae so they started taking a defensive stance by playing pranks on the humans to try and get them to leave their land. Some humans were deterred by their actions and some took to learning the Fae’s customs to try and befriend them. One day one of the pranks of the Fae went too far and caused the first fatal injury of a human. Both the surrounding humans and Fae were startled and scared. In an attempt to save the human from their fate the Fae summoned their best alchemist and scientist team Circe and Sage. The pair had created a way to save injured animals through a combination of science and magic and were asked to attempt it on the injured human. Thankfully it did manage to save the life of the human but they weren’t quite the same as they were before. The human now had animal ears and flowers growing out of their body. Overtime Circe and Sage continued to use this method to save humans. Due to the fact that Sage and Circe need to watch over them and monitor their condition a new town was created for the Floralias to live in Plantae. This was the beginning of the Floralias.

Present day Plantae has been developed by three generations of Floralias into a bustling town. The buildings are a bit rustic but made to modern standards, plants accompany all the buildings and are very much present in the town.
