Floralias MYO Info

MYO Info

Basic Traits

Seedling

Floralias originated from an experiment by the Fae, specifically Sage and Circe. Combining magic and science originally to save injured animals they used this technique to save an injured human. Floralias are created by a seed that has been soaked in a mammal or bird dna potion is placed into their body. The seed after being placed into the body begins to grow plants throughout the human’s body and transform their dna. After the transformation the seed remains in the body and occasionally has plant growth coming from it. The seedling can be in any part of the body.

Plant Growth

When a Floralias is created their body originally is taken over by plants until the animal dna potion takes effect. Once the transformation is complete the plant growth instead of manifesting inside the body takes place on the animal parts of the Floralias. The type of plant growth is random and is classified into four rarity levels. Floralias can only host three plant types at a time. (See Plant Types for more information)

Animal Parts

Sage’s animal dna potions exclusively consist of mammal or bird dna. The results of the animal dna potions effects vary from person to person. Some humans take to the potion more than others and take on more animal traits. The most common form the animal dna manifests is ears, tails and wings. There have also been cases of paws, fur growth and skull restructuring (anthropomorphizing). Floralias can currently only host one kind of animal dna. Note: Human ears have not been found in any Floralias.

Protective 'Halo'

Sage’s protective ‘halo’ prevents the seedling from growing more plants inside the Floralias’s body. Typically attuned to the Floralias after the main transformation has taken effect so the plant growth has time to relocate to the animal parts. This protective ‘halo’ floats around a part of the body and can be worn as an accessory. Any flowers or plants can be used for the charm.

Plant Types

Gardenia is home to many species of plants. During the early years of the Fae’s settlement of Gardenia the Fae worked together to create an encyclopedia of plants in the continent. It was decided upon that there would be four rarity levels for each plant type. Floralias can only host three plant types at a time.

Copper Rarity

Copper rarity plants are the most common types of plants found in Gardenia. The three categories of plants that belong to this level are weeds, vines and flowers.

Bronze Rarity

Bronze rarity plants are more uncommon types of plants found in Gardenia. The three categories of plants that belong to this level are herbs, ferns and water plants.

Silver Rarity

Silver rarity plants are more rare to come by or harder to grow in Gardenia. The three categories of plants that belong to this level are shrubs, trees and carnivorous plants.

Gold Rarity

Gold rarity plants are the most valuable plants in Gardenia. The three categories of plants that belong to this level are succulents, fungus and, plants that produce fruit, vegetables or berries.

Cross-breeding

Plants types can be crossbred through Sage’s Potions of Growth. When the potion is consumed by a Floralias they will gain additional plant growth of either a Copper, Bronze, Silver or Gold rarity. If the original plant growth is the same rarity as the cross breed they will have two different types of plant growth of the same rarity. If the original plant growth is not the same rarity as the cross breed potion they will have two different rarity levels of plant growth. Floralias can only host three plant types at a time. If you wish to change a plant type you would need to use a Redesign Potion.

Mutations

Floralias like plants can mutate to gain additional traits. You can find the items you need for mutations at Sage’s apothecary located in the flower shop run by Felix. Below are descriptions of all the current mutations available.

Plant Prosthetics (Copper)

If a Floralias loses a limb plants can grow in to take over the place of the human limb that was lost. Sage sells a potion to change the plant type of the newly grown prosthetic. You only need this potion if the prosthetic is not already the plant type you would like your Floralias to have. Plant Prosthetics that have been changed with the potion are not rarity bound.

Flower Eyes - Flower Eye Drops (Bronze)

If a Floralias loses an eye or both flowers can grow from the eye sockets, this process is aided by the eye drops. Like the Plant Prosthetics the Flower Eyes trait is not bound by rarity.

Unnatural Flowers - Mythical Flora Potion (Bronze)

The Mythical Flora Potion brewed by Sage transforms currently existing flowers into new breeds of flowers never seen before, whether it be unnatural colors or shapes. You will need this item to change your flowers to unnatural colors or use fictional flowers for your Floralias.

Flower Hair - Floral Hair Extensions (Bronze)

With floral hair extensions your Floralias hair can be made out of plant growth based on what plant growth your Floralias has.

Branch Horns - Branch Horn Growth Cream (Silver)

This cream crafted by Sage allows for branches to grow on Floralias that do not have horns. These branch horns grow on the Floralias head as tree branches. These branches cannot grow fruit, but can grow flowers if the species of tree can grow flowers.

Bioluminescence - Mysterious Glowing Potion (Silver)

This Mysterious Glowing Potion brewed by Sage can mutate the plant growth on your Floralias to glow in the dark.

Translucence - Terrarium Potion (Silver)

This potion started developing areas of translucent leaf like skin where there is a lot of plant growth in the body of a Floralias. Sage often describes this phenomenons appearance to be similar to a terrarium. Rarely do you ever see the organs.

Fungal Growth - Circe’s Mysterious Supplement (Gold)

Sage doesn’t really know what is in this mysterious supplement but she’s never really been one to question the medicines she gets from Circe. If your Floralias feels like helping out with the clinical trial of the supplement they will start to grow mushrooms as an additional plant growth. This trait counts towards the limit of plant types.

Unnatural Fruit - Mythical Fruit Punch (Gold)

The Mythical Fruit Punch brewed by Sage transforms currently existing fruit into new breeds of fruit never seen before, whether it be unnatural colors or shapes. You will need this item to change your fruit to unnatural colors or use fictional fruit for your Floralias.

Decay - Slimy Potion (Gold)

This potion was hidden deep in the back of Sage’s apothecary. You don’t feel like you should drink it yet something about it calls to you. Do you drink the potion? (Yes)

Decay Lore

After drinking the Slimy Potion you start to feel light headed, dizzy and nauseous. It tasted like rot. You feel like you’re starting to pass out. You stumble knocking over some other vials shattering them. As your eyes close you hear Sage clattering around the Apothecary to check on you.

When you come to you look around and find yourself in Circe’s Laboratory. Both Circe and Sage are in a heated discussion. Your head still spinning, something just feels off about your body. You notice your protective halo has started to wilt and dry. Circe realizes you’re awake and stops talking to Sage. She hands you some medicine and a glass of water. Once you take the medicine you start to feel better. Sage explains the potion that you drank was the essence of a rotting poisonous plant. You weren’t the first one to drink it and you certainly wouldn’t be the last to make that mistake. Your protective halo is damaged but both Sage and Circe are looking for away to repair it until then you’ll need to take the medicine that Circe made to prevent the decay from spreading further.

Decay Traits

Decaying Protective 'Halo'

When afflicted with the Decay trait Floralias Protective 'Halo' plants look withered and wilted. Flowers and leaves will look dried out.

Decaying Plant Growth

When afflicted with the Decay trait Floralias Plant Growth becomes withered and wilted. How this looks visually will depend on the type of Plant Growth your Floralias has.

Effects of Decay on the Body

When a Floralias is afflicted with Decay they experience the following symptoms: fatigue, headaches, unexplained muscle or joint pain, dizziness, extreme exhaustion. Circe’s medicine helps with the symptoms but bed rest is a required part of treatment.

Redesigning a Floralias

Decided you want to completely rehaul your Floralias design, want to change a couple traits or even your plant type? Luckily for you Sage has a potion for that!
