The String

The String is one world system out of many. We only know of a few world systems that exist. You never know what’s out there. As time goes on, we will find more about our universe and hopefully learn something about our own selves.

What are the World Systems?

The World Systems are systems of worlds all packed into one. Each system has an entity known as a “Watcher” who stands over the system, making sure nothing bad happens to worlds. They are the sworn protectors. They will stay there until they die or until the higher beings dismiss them from their duties.

The Higher Beings?

Above the Watchers is a council of higher gods known as “The Universals”. The Universals watch over the Watchers, making sure they are carrying out their duties and keeping the world systems safe.

Their other job is to create and train new Watchers. The universe is expanding and will continue to expand forever and ever, so the Universals must continue to create Watchers.

It is thought, in lore, that the Watchers are created from pieces of a leftover star or a world system. Some say that Watchers have a core of energy in the center of them which powers their very existence though no one truly knows how the Watchers are created. Whatever they are made of, the Watchers are made to be extremely powerful and strong.

Watchers are gods, but they have flaws just like you and me. These Watchers are made with flaws so that way they have a chance to learn as they carry out their duties.

Current Watchers

There are only a few known Watchers: Tif (the Invisible Force), Bard, and Endronia. Tif is in charge of watching over the String, Bard is in charge of watching over Polystratus, and Endronia is in charge of watching over Endrone.

When it comes to what the Watchers can do, it is up to the Watchers. Once a Watcher is established, the Universals typically do not get involved as the Watchers are supposed to learn from their own experiences. Some disagree with this philosophy and say that the Universals should be more involved while others agree and say that the Watchers will someday naturally learn.

The Invisible Force

Tif, also known as the Invisible Force, watches over the String world system. He is a Watcher made of shattered icicles with the brightest and hottest energy. When Tif first became established, he was excited.

In his early days, he created lots and lots of worlds. These worlds were beautiful. Watching Tif was like watching an artist create. It was fascinating. Some say that he looked deep within himself and created worlds through himself.

But creating worlds and managing them was no easy task. So, he asked the Universals to give him assistants. The Universals responded by giving Tif deities known as Hariqs. These Hariqs traveled to the worlds and guarded them with their lives.

But, we know how that went. After some time where Tif created too many worlds, he became overwhelmed with all of it and destroyed everything. All of the worlds were shattered in an instant. Tif was extremely upset and the Hariq deities left him, not knowing that this act would lead to a great conflict that still goes on today.

This conflict and anger has also led to some conflicts on other worlds besides the Hariqs’.

Bard

Bard is the neighboring Watcher to Tif. Bard watches over the Polystratus world system. Bard’s method is to be welcoming to all creatures and worlds, no matter what. He is very flexible and goes with whatever comes his way.

Some think that the worlds he makes are completely by accident, or at least whenever he is not out of it by being on space dust. Even if this is the case, the worlds that he creates are beautiful.

Some say that the problem with Bard’s philosophy is that he will eventually lead to Tif’s problem: too many worlds. Bard will one day become overwhelmed with the amount of worlds he lets in and will end up destroying them all just as Tif did. Some disagree and say that Bard is too chill for that to happen.

Whatever may happen is up to the future to tell. As it is currently, Bard watches over two worlds: Dioneria and Rylari. One of the worlds holds a species of creatures known as the Masked while the other world is completely empty except for basic nature.

Endronia

Endronia is a ghost of an old Watcher who has become lost to history. She only watches over one world: Endrone. Endrone is very different from most worlds as it does not stay in one system. Endrone instead travels across the vastness of space on its own adventures.

Every so often, when Endrone nears a star, Endronia pushes the worlds towards that star so that Endrone can become safe for a while. Then, once Endrone leaves that world system, Endronia follows. The world will then freeze over, completely killing everything on that planet. It is said that occasionally, Endronia will allow the planet to stay safe while traveling through space so that life can continue.

Endronia does not interfere much with whatever happens on Endrone. The job of Endronia is to push the planet towards stars and their world systems and follow the planet wherever it chooses to go.

Final Thoughts

So, now you know how these things work and how the String came to be. I hope you keep this information with you and use it wisely. Feel free to explore the String worlds. My only advice is to watch for Tif’s gaze as he can smite you if he feels the need to.

Be careful out there traveler! Be safe and of course, have fun!
