When somewhere becomes a safe space for a person or creature, there's a chance that that place may birth a dwellope. The dwellope then forms a pocket dimension around the location, unseeable from the location itself, then carries it upon its back. The dwellope's magic protects the safe spot from evil spirits and negativity and grows slowly over time. The older the dwellope, the larger the pocket dimension gets.
The majority of dwellopes are buildings, but there are some that have trees, animal dens, or landscapes. They can range from a room or tree to a city or entire forest. Usually, the appearance of the dwellope resembles the location in shape and color, and they also grow antlers that resemble their dimension. The antlers generally grow more ornate as the dwellope grows their magic.
