REMIDOLLS are a closed species created by PERFECTHEART.
We are sentient doll-like beings made from core memories! we’re made from the essence of an item correlating to the event, and turned into a living creature!!
However, no remidoll has ever met their creator- and the events that created us are usually a blur.
remidolls have animal-like ears and a tail and ball joints on their ankles, knees, shoulders, and elbows! These limbs are typically skin like in texture, however can be made of all sorts of materials! (metal, fabric, latex, etc.)
They also have ‘signature neck pieces’ which are typically an item that matches their creation memory!
Their legs are decorated to match their creation memory as well- however some have decorations on other parts of their body too!
Their mouths have cute lines down the edges to their chin, sorta like a nutcracker; and finally,their legs are digitrade-like and end in a nub sort of shape.
All remidolls have a special scent, used to track other remidolls to them! It always has to be something related to their creation memory. remidolls are typically formed out of happy memories!
However sometimes a bad memory is so impactful, it can form a remidoll as well! We typically call them defective- however that doesn’t mean we like them any less! Their colours are more muted and they’re usually more standoffish- but they can still be a great friend! Regular remidolls can turn into defective remidolls if their memory core is altered, but that hasn’t happened in a loooong time!! The last person it happened to was my sister, but I love her just the same!
The core memory is an item tied to the remidoll that brings it to life! Each core memory is a sentient item, if the core memory is too far from the remidoll, it will weaken them- hence why most remidolls carry it around like a pet! (they can also float behind them, think of it like a familiar!)
Can remidolls eat?
They can! But it's.. Not recommended? They have no need for food, and no way for the food to exit their body, take that as you will.
Can my remidoll get sick?
Yes! But not in a typical way, usually it comes from something wrong with their interior! Maybe they consumed something, maybe the elements that are supposed to be inside their body fell out/are too low! But they will react like any sick person would until the issue is corrected.
Can remidolls die?
Yes! If the person who’s memory created the remidoll forgets the memory, sadly- the remidoll goes with it. Otherwise- they can usually just get put back together!
Can remidolls age?
Nope! They can be affected by lack of maintenance overtime, and can be influenced by time in other visual ways- but that's for personal lore.
Can remidolls … store stuff inside of them?
…technically yes- as they are hollow… but.. why..?
Since their limbs are connected by balljoints, can they be disconnected?
Yes! They can be disconnected and still be functional (think frankie from monster high’s hand)! You may also see remidolls swapping limbs with their friends for fun!
(*note; drawing your remidoll swapping limbs would be a one off thing for a prompt or something, you cannot permanently draw your remidoll with swapped limbs from another remidoll.
