Lore
Cloudlins come from the Cloud nymph, Nephelae. The origin of the name comes from a Greek myth in which Zeus created a goddess from a cloud. Nephaelae had twins named Phrixus and Helle. However her children had been kidnapped to become a sacrifice and in order to save them, Nephelae created a golden winged ram to rescue them.
This ram, also known as the golden fleece, rescued them and instructed them to not look down during the flight. Helle, did look down, and fell off the ram and drowned. Nephelae was over come with grief, and her tears formed Cloudlins.
Each Cloudlin has a trait attributed to her, whether it be their body made of clouds, touches of gold in the design or hidden tear shape designs.
