In a land far away, it is said that a deer and gentle wyvern fell in love. They lived together in a magical forest, protecting it with the mighty wyvern's strength and sensitive deer's intuition.

One day, a magical crystal formed in the center of the forest, which they saw as a manifestation of their love and care for the forest, as the crystal gave them the ability to produce children that were part of each of them as well as the crystal. As she encircled the crystal with her many new eggs, they and the mother deer's fur began to shimmer and glow softly just like the crystal.

These unlikely little creatures hatched from the speckled, shimmering eggs. The mother deer and father wyvern stayed wrapped around them at the crystal, listening to them stir. The creatures inside used their stubby, but already growing horns to break free from their magical eggs, yawning and stretching, and then immediately flying around their parents and the crystal, seeming to absorb its magic. Their horns and hooves seemed to be made of the same material as the crystal, and even hints of it shone in their eyes.

Born courageous and strong as well as delicate and graceful, the little babies grew to be about 4 ft. tall, with strong legs and tails and soft wing membranes light as gossamer. Each individual grew to have different horns, from one single long horn to great big antlers. They could use their wings to carry berries and mushrooms and small woodland creatures or carry them in their curling tails.
