Portfolio Guide

  • Appeal to your audience. For example, if your target audience is furries, place your furry art front and center. Same thing if your target audience is a certain aesthetic or niche. Make it easy for people to see your art! Don't make people work for it.
  • Organization is important! People are more likely to look through your portfolio if it's organized and easy to view. Keep clutter and excessive decorations to a minimum.
  • The less links that people have to click, the better chance you have of people looking at all of your portfolio. Time is valuable!
  • Use your best art to interest people and pull them in. Place it in your landing/home page of your portfolio.
  • Don't forget to keep your portfolio updated! With every art piece you make, you're improving (even if it doesn't look like it). And along the same lines, remove art that doesn't accurately represent your art quality.
  • If you're using a separate website as your portfolio, move your art examples to the top or the front of the website where it should be easy to find.
  • Always have your contact information visible and easy to find at any place of your portfolio. For example, you can place it in the footer or header of the website. If any of your contact information changes, update on your portfolio! Not a lot of people will go hunting for your update contact information.
  • Clearly label your art examples to prevent confusion! If you stop your half-body art at the waist, don't include examples that extend to the thigh or stop at the bust.

Application Tips

  • You must be able to draw full-body adoptables. Include full-body adopt examples in your application. You're more than welcome to include other examples but full-body examples are a must!
  • Sketchy and/or unfinished adopt examples are discouraged. We need to see that you can create finished and polished adopts.
  • You must be able to draw off-base adopts. You may include on-base adopts in your examples, but we need to see that you can create off-base adopts.
  • The gacha prices go for $70 for a regular roll and $200 for a direct pick/auto-buy. Auctions start at $60 for the SB and $250 for the AB. If you're not comfortable with these prices, please reconsider applying.
  • Being able to use an application that can insert and manipulate text is recommended, like Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop!
  • We use Google Drive to organize files. Please have a gmail account to make upload process smoother!
