It was a sunny evening, when May-re was called to meet A large, beautiful yet ominous figure. Her presence was huge yet she was in front of May-re’s eyes. “Your.. Your highness.” May-re immediately took a bow once this figure bestowed herself. “You mustn’t need to do any of the foolishness with me, my sweet May-re.” May-re grew a faint red tint on her cheeks, visible to the god. “Well.. You deserve it. You deserve a beautiful title for a beautiful and gentle woman.” Aphrodite smiled and laughed at May-re’s compliments. “You are a funny child.”  May-re looked around, “Well.. About that, I hope it’s not too offensive to ask but why are we here and why do we do what we do?” Aphrodite raised a brow. “I created you because I wanted a companion just like how all the other Gods have companions in Humanity.” “Then why are we Shunned ?” A sudden silence filled the Skies and the Heavens. “That is a long answer, my dear. Every story has a beginning, conflict and ending, that is no different to ours. Swangels had no purpose in the early days other than to be pretty, their kind was one idolised and loved by many. There was an ambitious Swangel who attempted to find purpose in their existence. So they did everything. Anything and Everything. One day, they found themselves to be in a dream realm, a serene area. They overstepped whatever boundary there was and disturbed the Dream Holder, who was a human.  This brought chaos into God’s only companion. Man, who was as angelic as the first angel, was corrupt and brought on years of violence, famine and war. It was a dark time. The other gods did not even point the blame onto me, instead they pointed the blame on the entirety of swangels, shunning them away from heaven.” May-re stood in silence. It was hard to process some of this. “And then what?” “The vowed an Oath to prevent humanity into Madness once more, by aiding them in their dreams. If those dreams turned into nightmares… God knows what. Unless you work in the Delivery department of Swangels, you are destined to work with a designated human till you reincarnate.. and again.. and again.. and.. again. Lucky you, you just have the work in delivering letters to Swangels.” May-re then remembered something, reached something out of her small bag and handed it over to Aphrodite. “Here, a letter! Let’s hope we meet again, Your highness!” “I hope so too.”
