tHE rEACHING iSLES (WIP)
The Reaching Isles is a seemingly endless world of open sky, floating islands and lots of clouds. You never know what's on the horizon when there's no horizon to look at! Most places are quiet and peaceful like the sea, but like the sea, The Reaching Isles are also home to many dangers. Pirates, stormy weather, and dangerous beasts also call the eternal, blue abyss their home! Do you dare to dive into the deep?
The climate of The Reaching Isles depends on depth you find yourself on. The further down you go, the warmer it'll be. The further up you go, the colder it'll be! The islands of The Reaching Isles float on these energy fields, which flow all over the land. These energy fields function kind of like water if water could be layered and everyone could walk on it. That's right! All creatures born in The Reaching Isles can walk on these energy fields, too! They often prefer other means of transportation such as wagons, ships and sleds... But if they feel like travelling, they could walk from island to island.

Tidet is where most of the story takes place. The biome of the region is largely grasslands and meadows on flat or hilled islands, but also calls mountains covered in trees and lush forests its home. Civilisation is pretty spread-out over Tidet and there are a lot of small communities that aren't big enough to call a village. But where there are few there are also places where there are many! Cities and towns bustling with life are a part of Tidet too! They thrive on trades with other regions and rely on their havens and ships heavily! Because of this, many cities have a more coastal look to them, even if their seas aren't actually made of water.
- North Tidet is home to most of Tidet's cities. This is also where its capital lies, Burthwit.
- Burthwit is one of the richest cities in all of The Reaching Isles! It houses universities, museums, stores and is in general well-maintained and clean. However, many folks living in smaller communities likely can't afford to live or shop here.
- Towns/cities that are more of use to folks from smaller communities are the ones that rely on their havens and aren't too large in size.
- Another well-known city in Tidet is known to locals as "The Dead City". It is a city almost completely made of machinery, with no organic land in sight. The air in the city is rather polluted and most of its culture comes from the vibrant and strong-willed people who despite it all, call it home.
- There are many rumours The Dead City still has a very tiny island at its core, which is the only thing keeping it afloat.
- In recent years there have been more pirate sightings in Tidet...
This is where Tilly Pitterton lives with her family and the home Tinker currently is staying at. It is located close to a small, haven-centred town named Gorgori. Besides a few neighbours and friends living in the area, the place is pretty peaceful and quiet!
Gorgori is a small coastal town that relies on its ships, havens and the trade of goods to sell on the market. It is also often a pit stop for travellers and merchants, so there are also many inns and taverns that provide bed and breakfast. The locals often know merchants and travellers by name based on how frequently they visit! Overall a busy yet small and cosy place.
