What is Wings Rising?
Wings Rising (WR) is a Wings of Fire play-by-post roleplaying group/world (and hopefully, one day, it's own independent website!) WR is set in an Alternate Universe (AU) in which the Dragonets of Destiny failed to end the War of Sandwing Succession, leading to the destruction and collapse of most of Pyrrhia's Kingdoms and factions and giving rise to completely new ones as dragon society rebuilt itself.
Because the website is in its most infantile stages of development, there is no set release date for the soft-launch(yet!) and probably won't for awhile. Please feel free to use the toyhou.se world and the resources on discord to develop your stories! We would love to encourage you to join our community in the meantime, as we host events like Book club readings, Movie Nights, Game Nights and site-related things like Polls and Suggestion boxes all on our discord. We also would love to foster a community of artists of the WoF community, so feel free to come on in and advertise your commissions or simply share your art!

So what are the planned features and direction for the website?
WR really hopes to become a safe haven for mature, literate-style writers who enjoy writing long-form content. As someone who grew up with the Wings of Fire series myself as a kid, I really craved a place where I could approach the series as an adult with a more mature and developed mindset. Some of the planned features, such as age-restricted posts and writing skill-checks for new members, hope to reflect this original intent. This does not mean that WR is a nsfw, erotica roleplay, we lable ourselves as 3-2-3.
Planned Features for Kingdoms of Pyrrhia as of the current date are...
- Skill system, allowing players to show off their character's skills that they earned via writing, giving their character more credibility and giving players something to strive to earn.
- Groups, Tribes, and Kingdoms are player-run, with the ability for players to come together on their own and make their own groups if they wish. Be the start of your own royal line!
- An optional D&D rolling system, easily accessible to all players for use in high tension battle scenes.
- Interactable map of Pyrrhia, frequently updated to reflect the constantly changing atmosphere of the world.
- Pregnancy and Gestation, giving a another realistic aspect of roleplaying, allowing players to see when their next opportunity for eggs will be and how long until those eggs hatch.
How do I join the world? Am I allowed to submit characters?
Simply join our discord, read our rules to obtain your roles, then request membership! Please include your discord username (and nickname on the discord, if you have one) in the "Reasons for Joining" box!
Once you join, you are more than welcome to submit any Wings of Fire OC's that have been approved via discord using the rules and regulations listed on the discord. The approval process is short and involves you providing linked works of your character that display the necessary information, either through their toyhouse profile or a google doc. You may submit OC's as many times as you wish as there is no character limit.
