Death comes to men and women of all ages. They were tired of cowering in fear, always having to face it no matter who they are.

The art of resurrection and necromancy was forbidden, men had their goals and decided to upgrade their race with it.

Somewhere  in the mid-late 18th century, Science seems to be recognized for gradually unlocking the world's secret. However, a few used it in order  to be the medium for black arts in order to perform necromancy―it was  successful.

Henceforth, the vampires were born――a species that could cheat  death was born―pale and somewhat skinny, they're capable of numerous  abilities we normal humans could never have nonetheless. They also  earned several weaknesses due to this, though.

A year after the discovery, the first vampire, Marco Ruthven, was kept in a basement to prevent public discovery. This developed emptiness  for him, not being able to talk to anyone else for now. Gradually, he succumbed to his new body, killing everyone who revived him in order to  survive. After all, blood was one of the agents used to revive him. He escaped, living a dark cave perfect for a creature born from darkness.

Another  year after lingering in his habitat, a curious young lady, Gretchen, had discovered his existence. She, like all of us, was clueless on what  he was at first, but gradually became the best of all friends even after  she knew the horrible truth about him―she loved him for what he was,  fortunately. Eventually, they began living as a couple and gave birth to twin daughters, which were the second vampires in world history.

They  distanced themselves from the world for five years in order to prevent public discovery, of course. However, all truths would never be kept a  secret―one of their daughters' thirst for knowledge decided to  discovered the nearby human village of Glauca where her mother used to  live. Their daughter was lost from hiding, while they captured  the another one to implant bombs inside her body in order to lure their  father and kill him. Gretchen was executed, accused for sorcery and  witchcraft.

Marco realized how hollow he was without  Gretchen, so he roamed around the nearby areas in order to find the  significance of his life and cheer up. A few years after the tragedy, he  found a young boy who lives his life in a garbage dump―he was named  Howard. He was first raised as a human child, until one accident turned  the young one onto a vampire.

Of course, after the  incident that happened years ago, some have accepted and believed in the  existence of vampires. Yearning to eradicate all of them, they thought  that the vampire was the young one―indeed, he was dismembered,  decapitated, and staked in order to be sure that the vampires are gone  for good. However, little did they know they killed the wrong one;  little did they know that the fate of the generations to come twisted  due to this casualty.

Marco wanted a world where the  just will no longer linger in fear, while the unjust will be the prey  of the weak and just. He believed that he existed for this very reason―  he believes that he is the Dark Messiah. Therefore, he was often called  Azathoth or Helel.

Bloodbath and exodus happened on  the Traube Village, the land where everything began. All according to  keikaku, he soon plans to invade the neighboring city next―the  Agrumes City.

By the 20th century, the invasion  of Agrumes City silently began with the tragic Karnstein siblings,  the elder sister Mircalla and the younger brother Lester.

At  this century, the rumors about vampires existing seem to subside.  However, a weird toddler (revealed to be a dhampir) named Apollo was found on the ghost village, being under the hands of the Schlierenzauer clan, a foreign group of scientists disguised as biologists.
