The Magic Within Grows Stronger with Age
♦Glitterhorns are an open-species founded by me♦ Glitter!
♦ Glitterhorns come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors. But here is a general guide to create one!
Unicorns are the more feminine of the two species,
but that doesn't mean there aren't masculine unicorns out there!
I tend to think Unicorns=Pretty, Pegasi=Handsome.
The ear shape and hoof size is largely based on what 'breed' of horse they are.
Clydesdales generally have larger features, while Arabians would be more petite (etc.). The hooves are always cloven. Depending on the breed, some have wispy fur around the tips of their ears and ankles while others do not.
Body shape and features are entirely up to the creator! Go wild :)
The horn is a unicorn's pride and joy! The gem it is based on will guide what type of power that unicorn would have (stones associated with healing would have healing powers).
The horn itself is crystalline and chunky, like rock candy. The length/number of segments determines how old a unicorn is:
♦ No segments: 0-6 years old
♦ 1 segment: 6-15
♦ 2 segments: 15-23
♦ 3 segments: 23-31
♦ 4 segments: 31-40
♦ Etc.
The horn curves back slightly and as the unicorn ages, the curve becomes more pronounced.
There are instances where there is a problem with the horn growth that may cause it to grow in crooked. In other cases, certain injuries may chip or otherwise damage the horn.
Eye color and shape is mostly up to interpretation!
Their pupils are white because magic (I just like the aesthetic).
Unicorns' hair typically grows in with streaks of similar colors
(navy blue with streaks of purple, light blue with darker blue, light yellow with strawberry blonde).
This same pattern is reflected in their tail color.
Speaking of tails;
they have a fantasy unicorn-style tail, closer to a lion than a horse. The hair at the end reflects the texture of their hair.
Other than that, it's all freegame.
Tattoos, piercings, hair dye, and other aesthetic changes to the body are all welcome!
This is just some general guidelines to get you started.
Have fun!
