Neonsis

Neonsis are a species existing in the “Crooked Moon” series

Neonsis are extremely rare and are an almost extinct species. Neonsis have a large horselike body with strong legs, a curved horn, dragonlike wings, spikes on their legs, and frills on their necks. Neonsis actually have two hearts and both are vital to their survival. Neonsis frills are used as a defense mechanism and sprawl out when threatened. Their wings are extremely powerful and they are a master of the sky being both quick and lean when maneuvering. They use the small claws at the edge of their wings to grab since they dont have paws or claws. 

Neonsis are often linked with supernatural powers and are deemed as natural rulers and mighty warriors and their heritage won many wars and great battles in their past. As the species began to die down, so did their honor as they began to live like animals in the Barren Lands. Now the species live in herds and are very few and far between. After Neosis became controlled by Damestrick, he whipped out the majority of the remaining Neonsis. Neonsis mighty past and the species had almost been forgotten completely.
