On on a normal day of a group of foreign cats, a meteorite fell from the sky into the clans' territory. The cats were curious about what the sky might have sent to them. But the meteorite they discovered wasn't just a simple stone, it was filled with living parasites, which saw the cats as suitable hosts. They infected the unassuming cats. A few cats were taken over by force, while others were convinced with words. Some even got to be friends with their hosts and developed a good, healthy symbiosis. In those relationships the cats were usually looking for strength while the parasites wanted a way to reproduce and spread efficiently, which they could do easily with the help of their host's body.
The group of explorers, gifted with their new-won strength, then passed over the endoparasites to their offspring, leading to a cycle of reproduction that has been holding on for generations. Of course most outsiders envied the new kind of mutants for their advanced bodies. But there was something frightening about them. Since their appearance had changed drastically, many started referring to them as a new species: Endocats.

When the cats agreed to this symbiosis, one parasite per cat was the deal they had made. If a host had to take more, they may loose control over their body or die. Most parasites kept their promise. But not all of them.
Cats with one parasite are called "Possessed". But rumors say that some cats host multiple parasites in them; extremely strong or crazy Endocats. They call them "Corrupted".
