Rules / Guidelines
.) First and foremost, we'd like to keep the community friendly and welcoming! Bigotry, discrimination, or harassment of any sort is not allowed in Sweetshifter spaces. We expect everyone to be polite & have a zero tolerance policy for this sort of thing. Play nice!
.) Similarly, while this is a semi-open species with technically no off-limits traits for making your own, we don't allow "traits" that are blatant discriminatory caricatures. Do not use our species to promote racism! Again, zero tolerance.
.) We're not too defensive of the concept. Dessert themes and kemonomimis are common tropes. Obviously, don't literally steal it, this is our original take on the idea, but if you see someone with a similar character/species please don't accuse them of copying us. It's not that big of a deal!
.) Anyone can make their own Sweetshifter, but you may not create adopts or otherwise monetized designs without permission. This includes giveaways and raffles (even though those don't make any money) because we'd like to throw those ourselves and keep them extra special!
.) Official adopts cannot be sold for higher than their original asking price. If you're reselling an adopt with additional commissioned art, you can increase the price based off what you paid for the commissions. (IE, a $40 adopt + $20 commission = $60 value). Although our species is monetized through adopts, we don't run this strictly for profit & would prefer if people participating in the species didn't buy characters with the explicit intention of upselling them. Reselling is not allowed for designs from raffles/giveaways, but trading and gifting is perfectly fine.
.) Technically, we don't police what you do with your Sweetshifter character outside of these rules, but please keep in mind this species is intended for all audiences. As per site guidelines, anything with graphic content must be marked appropriately, and we prohibit discussions of adult topics in public Sweetshifter spaces (IE, the world, bulletin posts, etc.)
.) Additional rules may be added as necessary!
