The .bun Philosophy

Techi.bun were made to teach kids about internet safety in a fun and interactive way!

With fun, simple to draw yet endlessly unique characters, Techi.bun Paradise is a mostly-open species that highlights fun and creative freedom over exclusivity. We hope to foster a fun and kind community with ARPG-like elements. There are no USD MYOs, no paid traits, and nothing you can't get from a bit of creativity.

Paradise

Found on the planet Cyberweb is a lovely place called Paradise, home to all shapes and sizes of character. The dominant of these species are the Techi.buns, made in the early 2000's as a way to teach young netizens how to safely browse the web. It quickly became an online MMO for children with many plushies and toys, and had a small cult following among those who played but not much outside of its target audience.

No website is completely safe. Unfortunately, early into its life, Paradise was hit by a group of malicious hackers that caused a large blackout. The hate and chaos the hackers felt manifested in the code as Virwulves. Virwulves are the only natural predator of Techi.buns as they trawl the very code of the world, distorting the land they walk upon as they wait to ambush any unsuspecting citizen nearby. Their bite is enough to leave corrupted pixels and broken code, but a brave bunch of .bun, dubbed the Glitch Hunters, take it upon themselves to perform coordinated attacks against them to keep Paradise safe. Aside from a job well done, the greatest joy to come out of a successful Wipe is a tamed Virwulf, used to hunt others of their kind.
