West wind stables

welcome

West Winds is a family-focused facility that aspires to bring the equestrian world to everybody, providing lessons in different disciplines from just beginner lessons for those who are wanting to try how it feels like to sit on a horse for the first time to the highest levels of competitive show-jumping and dressage, horse racing, and more!

The facility is owned by the Chapman family, founders of the Second Chance Non-profit Organization for Mistreated Horses, so as it couldn’t be any other way they also count with a good team of trainers and helpers to take in animals in need, as well as a retirement program for horses that cannot be adopted out for any variety of reasons.

Another popular program available at West Winds is the retraining program for off-the-track race horses, having a historical foot on the local racetrack, the family has been taking on their hands the job of giving the less lucky horses that don’t usually make it into the big races a second home and a second career.
