The World
Enurian is the only continent on an unnamed world, fairly large in size and filled with eight main biomes, each with their own ecosystem and oftentimes containing many more microbiomes. Each of the eight main biomes are recounted here, as well as notable landmarks, settlements, or other important basic information.
Northern Jungle
Northern Jungle
The Northern Jungle is one of Enurian's strangest and most alien of biomes. Blood-red fungal trees cluster in groves, each one a jungle of its own, generating heat from underground hot springs to persist against the subzero temperatures. In the stretches between each isolated forest is nothing but frozen sea ice and permafrost, harsh and treacherous to navigate. This hostile environment owes its landscape of extremes to the event horizon visible in the northernmost horizon, if one looks towards the sea. Despite any weather conditions, one can always see it, and it lends an eerie glow to the snow and ice.
- Ferraen who live in this biome each have a grove to tend and look after, and are very protective and territorial over their grove.
Northernslopes
Northernslopes
The Northernslopes are the mountain range to the north, responsible for protecting the rest of the continent from the effects of the event horizon. The northern side of this mountain range is barren, with nothing but exposed rock and ice, and anything living is extremely difficult to find, as this face takes most of the brunt of the event horizon's effects. The southern side, while more habitable, is still covered in snow year-round and foliage is sparse and extremely well adapted to this frigid environment. Despite the chill, this mountain range has very low yearly rainfall.
- In the summer, Basin Desert ferraen nomads will often retreat into the foothills and lower valleys of the Northernslopes to escape the neverending heat.
This market is the only one of its kind and exists only during the coldest month of winter. During this time, ferraen from across the continent gather to trade goods, services, and gossip. During its short existence, it functions as a small town might.
The Fissure
The Fissure
To the northwest is the subpolar temperate forests of the Fissure. Here, the continent fractures, with the land here becoming pockmarked with cenotes and the coast filled with rocks and islands, with the largest island existing just off the shoreline. Here, despite the general chill of the climate, the seawater is warm and becomes hotter the further down you go, and the ocean is filled with brilliant lifeforms and coral-like creatures.

Shield Coast
Shield Coast
Shield Coast is the eastern stretch of the continent's coast, filled with coves and bays protected from the rest of the ocean's waves, where the water grows shallow and warm. It's an idyllic place protected on all sides from the weather and curses plaguing the rest of the land, with soft red, black, and pale sands and brilliantly colored waters. While it has its own share of dangers, it is a relatively peaceful and safe place to live, so long as one doesn't venture too far past the shore.

Basin Desert
Basin Desert
The majority of the continent's biomes fall under the Basin Desert, a massive desert stretching throughout the entirety of the inland of Enurian. Because of its size, it contains the largest number of microbiomes. With its freezing nights and burning hot days, toxic lakes, and sparse vegetation, Basin Desert is one of the most difficult biomes to live in. Despite this, because of its sheer size, Basin Desert contains the majority of Enurian's biodiversity.

Southernslopes
Southernslopes
The second range of mountains on Enurian. The Southernslopes are the opposite of the Northernslopes—tall, craggy cliffs and strange sidewinding passes covered entirely by the crawling vegetation of a biome resembling a tropical rainforest. Here, much of the ground is inaccessible or difficult to navigate, and many organisms living here opt for different methods of navigation. In the summer, monsoons blow up from the south, and during the winter, heavy windstorms whistle through many of the passes, causing the flora to grow in many interesting ways.

Floodplains
Floodplains
At the southernmost coast of Enurian are the Floodplains, a long stretch of plains constantly flooded by runoff from the Southernslopes. While this biome appears mostly flat, it is often filled with hidden groundwater streams, fields of mud and silt, and creeks hidden by overgrown brush. The skies here are almost always gray and overcast, giving the world a faintly purple to blue hue, though rain itself is often rare.
- Most ferraen farmers live within the Floodplains, as the constant runoff from the Southernslopes makes the silt and loam here perfect for growing crops.

The Imbroglio
The Imbroglio
The Imbroglio is the most hostile biome located on Enurian. A remnant of the Muralists, it is an artificially constructed biome consisting of a maze-like structure filled with massive buildings on the surface, and tunneling deep underground to unknown depths. The lifeforms here are strange and oftentimes look nothing like the other creatures who have evolved on Enurian, and dangers and wonders beyond imagination lurk behind every corner. The deeper in you travel, the stranger things become.
