"A Tale of Two Immortals" is a narrative I have been crafting for years. Set in the universe of Luminara, the main character 'Mieko', explores her newfound immortality and the timeless struggle of existence shortly after her life is cut short on Earth. During her time in her new world, Mieko stuggles to find meaning in life - often contemplating the value of appreciating life rather than just surviving. Through this tale, I aim to explore the depths of immortality and the complexities it brings to the lives of those who possess it. Set in a world both familiar and fantastical, this story delves into themes of friendship, love, loss, and the eternal quest for purpose.

Lore

The planet (named 'Luminara') has thousands of countries with their citizens living on land, in the sea, underground, and above the clouds. There are many unique cultures and languages.
This world has little to no modern-day technology unless it is magic-operated. Because of the low sapient population across such a large world, cultures often adapt to their habitats and coexist with nature. Rarely, some cultures may develop to the level of building cities and infrastructure.

The planet's fauna is larger than Earth's fauna, with small creatures often being the same size as or larger than a horse or elephant. These creatures are familiar but distinct from Earth's animals and can be trained or domesticated similarly. There is an extremely rare type of animal referred to as a 'Beast-Spirit'; they are always approximately 1km in length or height and possess an incredible amount of mana. Over many generations, 'Beast-Folk' have worshipped these creatures and learned their magic, making Beast-Spirits integral to how magic operates within different cultures. They are exceedingly powerful and near-impossible to defeat, even by the most powerful mages throughout history.

Luminara is a planet about 1.5 million kilometres in diameter, akin to the magnitude of Earth's sun. Ruled over by a goddess named Hiraeth, a soft-spoken yet cruel deity who watches over her world from a distance, weaving the threads of fate for those unfortunate enough to enter her celestial gaze.
