"The Milagros Enmascarados, meaning Masked Miracles, are a closed species of cat sized masked dragons that can be created using a mask and something important to the person, which will determine the milagro's appearance. As an example, the milagro below was created using a crystal ball."
"Milagros can't die of old age, instead, they can pass away if their mask breaks. They need to form a connection with someone, otherwise if neglected, their mask will crack with time. If they find someone new however their mask will slowly fix itself, except for a few cracks."
More info:
- A traditional milagro mask looks similar to the one pictured above, with a long snout. Eyes can be open or closed.
- Extra masks are similar to typical ones, except that, like the name implies, they have extra features like two, more or less eyes; have extra details like horns and antenna; etc.
- Masks can also be atypical, having a lot of variety, since the creator can decide the shape.
- Milagros lack a mouth, not even the mask having one (except in extra rare cases, but the mouth is non functional still), but they can project their voices for everyone to hear.
- They can outlive their creators, and as such be without owners, but ultimately need to form a bond with someone.
- Milagros are dragons, but they come in many forms, being able to resemble other beings.
- They are usually similar to either cats or ferrets in personality, attitude and even shape and size.
- The object they were made from and the characteristics of the mask determine, not only their appearance, but their magical abilities. For example, the milagro pictured above, Nyx, that I mentioned was created using a crystall ball can see the future. These abilities are limited however, like Nyx can only predict small occurrences and not see very far off.
- Some of them, like Nyx, can also change the consistency or texture of their body. It's made of glass and can be smooth or sharp at will.
- They usually have ears, three pair of legs with three toes each and a tail. In rarer cases they can have wings, more than one tail or head, detached heads, etc.
