Necropolis is a huge city, and has been for hundreds of years. The people who call it home are generally a sorry lot, as over generations they have become twisted and afraid due to the comings and goings of the immortal races.

Around 150 years ago, war broke out between the angels and the demons, and this battle spilled out onto the mortal plain, right in the heart of Necropolis. The reapers stayed neutral in the war, and none of them went hungry as the other two immortal races turned their backs to the humans that lived in the city. The angels and demons hacked at each other, their vast armies diminishing ever so slowly, until there came a time when neither of the two parties could continue the attack. The war went on for 50 years.

Even now, the rival species are hostile towards each other, and the immortal races are commonly spotted in Necropolis.
