Nikhaeans are also skilled sea hunters and artisans. They were often accompanied by huge, large-finned Njimonis, whose name was also after the pet fish of Nikhaea.

Appearance:Physically, they were humanoids and act and think like humans do.

They have distictive birthmarks on their cheeks and their ears resembled fins. Nikhaean species can range in subtypes: sea fairy type, feline type, and fish type.

Sea fairy type:
Sea fairy type Nikhaeans have fins on their backs, resembling dragonfly wings.

Feline type:
They have fins on their heads instead of ears. They resembled cat's ears.

Fish Type:
They have a tail of a fish, but not like the siren ones.

Njimoni

[Nee•mō•nee]

Njimonis are large-finned species of fish found in the depths of Atlantic Ocean. They are being called after the favorite pet of Nikhaea. Elders of Atlantis believed they sprang from the beard of Neptune, thus they're treated as divine beings. Tradition says that a Nikhaean should own one specific Njimoni to be trained. Once tamed, they can able to adapt traits from their owners. Njimonis are the swiftest fishes of the fictional world.

Dedication:

This is based on my childhood OC with a same name who fell in love with Mars, a god of war. Nikhaea was the daughter of Neptune and a mortal mother. To avoid Atlantis being engulfed in a fathomless bottom of the sea, she embarked on a long journey across the Atlantic along with Njimoni and her friends to find the gems of the four elements. (Yeah, I was a hardcore Roman/Greek mythology nerd when I was 11-years old so I drew myself an OC after it. Basically, I draw furry creatures or cute anthros that time [more likely, after fennec foxes XD])
