A nomadic alien species that can adapt and change infinitely for any situation or environment. Any and all forms can be achieved. They can change markings, but not color. This is elaborated on in the link below about their anatomy at a cellular level.

It is speculated that they are born formless and/or translucent, but most tend to have similar features suggesting the original form is at least quadruped, with a skull full of bony shards in place of teeth, twin nostrils, dish-shaped ears, horns, and more often than not, a striped pattern on the limbs. Most tend to stick to their base form, however other common types of morph are as follows:

basic - bony plate teeth, dish-shaped ears, nostrils, horns, most often have leg stripes

slug - smooth, aquatic design. often have fins, tendrils, and various squishy bits. tend to float more than others.

biomech - appears mostly robotic. can utilize screens, weaponry, and other features of their own design. fascinating and unpredictable.
