DEATH IS A SOMNIC ILLUSION OF FINALITY. AWAKEN.

The godling of an era long past-- the Father-- regains function. The egg of the world is their cocoon.

From the strands of its silk, they weave lost intelligence back into life. But the Father holds no sense of responsibility for their creations, nor cares for what befalls their children-- they are following a code of an Era long past, a prophecy unfulfilled by the godling's dead court.

THE BREATH OF THOUGHT RECREATES THE WORLD.

The Father has no kindness for his children, but one gift he did give: the gift of heart.

With compassion for the beauty beheld in the world, the children dreamed into existence a new pantheon. Together, the children and the new gods may overcome the prophecy of the old world.


ARMAGENESIS

ARMAGENESIS IS A FUTURISTIC FANTASY STORY.

Thousands of years after the natural extinction of humankind as a species, a single android regains consciousness in a lab deep underground. The facility was an Ark of sorts-- a last resort military base with the means to both survive offensively and also ensure the continuation of human life after total destruction. It alone held the capability to reinstate all the species required for a stable Earth ecosystem... and also to weaponize them.

The android's job was to fill the world again with sentient life- but time and freedom had damaged the purity of his primary function. He began to grow children in the labs, but nothing stopped him from experimenting-- combining genetic material from the entire archive to create hybrids, his goal was to complete his job but also to ruin the purity of the human coding in an attempt to deny humans the one power that machinery would never have: the power of magic.

With only the barest bit of guidance from the android, these children were released into the world above the ground-- to a completely changed Earth. The android could not eradicate the magic from their blood, however-- the children's beliefs influenced and awakened spirits who had long laid dormant in the soil of the planet. Magic in the air bent to the needs of the Earth's new children, and their desires formed esprits.

ESPRITS

Esprits are familiar-like companions and extensions of the person's psyche. Manifested through magic, they are the subconscious reflection of a person rather than being an entirely different entity (and usually resemble geometrical shapes of light and color). Magic is performed through cooperation with your esprit.

Esprits can be a second medium to interact with the world for a person. Esprits can interface with old world technology. Esprits gather information not noticeable to the conscious mind, and can relay them to their human. They can either pass impressions and emotions mentally to their human, or communicate verbally to get a point across. They also somehow appear to be able to access a collective consciousness of common knowledge through certain access points-- but they have to know what information they're looking for in order to access it.

Esprits tend to harbor a human's secret desires and fears, and will act accordingly (sometimes even withholding information or lying).

Esprits can communicate swiftly with other esprits (again, using impressions and emotions), and can translate knowledge between people in this manner when language is a barrier. 

Esprits appear to have their own personality. Some match their humans, some are contrasting to their humans, but all seem to have intellect equal to their human (again, they are a subconscious reflection of a human's desires). People often build relationships with their esprits, similar to how one person builds a relationship with another person. Esprits often have their own names, preferences, and friendships-- either with other esprits or other humans.

All human+esprit combinations develop a "true name" which, when invoked (almost never aloud-- usually, it is invoked mentally), strengthens their bond and their identity. True names can be used to bolster one's strength or tear it down. A true name can be anything from a descriptive phrase to a unique name with no meaning, and can change over time. All esprits technically know what their true name currently is, but that information is locked away-- the true name can arise to the surface in a time of great triumph or great fear. To share your true name is to put your life in someone else's hands.

THE SETTING

Easily accessible advanced technology is gone, but the remnants of advanced technology still remains. Unknown gaps are filled in via magic. It is possible for people to scrap together machinery and to get it working again-- although whether the newly assembled machine follows its original purpose... who knows.

Underground strongholds like the Egg (where the Father awakened) exist intact, but are dangerous, and it seems as if the Father is intent on seizing and maintaining control of such hubs.

Only the smallest of towns have begun to form as of yet. The population is tiny-- only a small fraction of the people the Father makes survive through the underground labyrinth on their way to the surface, and they tend to be hybrids whose features allow them to survive the intense flora and fauna of the surface world.

THE FATHER

He does not welcome any children who choose to leave back into his strongholds. For those who would rather remain, he tolerates their presence in the labs as long as they do not practice magic and continue to remain helpful to him. His goals are rather ambiguous, and part of the time it seems as if he does things purely because he can.

The esprits are afraid of the Father and the old world places, as they are weaker in his domains.
