The Ta'Ruui universe is the world where the Ta'Ruui and fellow races reside. Below is a generalized reference for the main species. The Ta'Ruui and all their sub species are a closed species, please respect that, thanks! <3

Basic Stats:
Name: Ta'Ruui
Aliases: Tentakin, Roekin
Diet: Omnivore, but especially enjoy soft fruits and meats
Magical Potential: Weak to Moderate
Intelligence: Human-Like
Average Height: 8Ft
Average Total Body Length (Head to Tail): 24 Ft
Average Lifespan: Highly Variable, 70 - 150 yrs.
Young: 1 - 2 Live Young/ Eggs Depending on subspecies

Social Structure & Behavior: Very social; touchy feely with other community members. Trust is expressed based on how much physical contact is given to another individual. Ta'Ruui typically do not respond well to hostility and punishment. Lack of this social and physical contact can over time make a Ta'Ruui physically ill due to stress. However, they may be meek, but they can and will eat you whole.

In the wild they typically gather in large communities, preferring to live in cliffs of soft rock that they can cut into for communal areas and private dwellings. Your social status rises with how well you do your part in taking care of the rest of the group. Anti-social lone wolves do not do well, and only the strongest willed individuals can survive such an isolated life. All members will viciously defend the community, usually with high success.

In captivity, Ta'Ruui actively bond with members of other races. They tend to act as both guardians and protectors, but their trust is very hard to earn, and a stubborn Ta'Ruui would rather wither and die then try to bond with someone they do not trust or respect. For that reason they are considered finicky and difficult to work with for first time owners. Veterans know they do well in groups, and may assign a companion to them, or themselves if they are brave.

Background Info: If you were to ask what their home world is, you would not get a straight answer. It was initially guarded as a highly prized trade secret, but when the population on their homeward diminished, the original trading company abandoned the planet altogether to focus on the stocks that they had.

What is well known is the valiant fight the Ta'Ruui put up in order to protect their people. But they were no match for the advanced and experienced forces seeking to enslave them.

Ta'Ruui are not technologically advanced, being large apex predators that also enjoy agriculture, fine metal-work and the arts. Their bodies and large statures made advanced weaponry unnecessary. Murders were uncommon, as they would either have to flee or immediately be slaughtered by the community.

Ta'Ruui are still excellent crafters, and old work from their home world is priceless. It should be noted that the items are so rare that you probably have a fake, or an item made by a captive.

The race makes not only excellent companions, but guards as they are fiercely loyal to those they consider part of their 'group' due to their social and affectionate nature. To win their trust is a treasure in itself.

Very few free and or 'wild' communities of this race exist anymore after their discovery. But there are some both on their unknown home world, and escapees that have established themselves on the other worlds they were taken to.

A notable and sizeable community on the planet Tangaea is lead by Vareeka, whom is intent on freeing their people. Non Ta'Ruui usually use female pronouns with Vareeka despite all Ta'Ruui able to conceive or carry young. Her community has come to better understand the diverse interplanetary empire, and can utilize technology and fighting techniques to defend themselves. They are not considered terrorists, but prizes, but they are impossible to find unless they want you to find them.

Abilities: Your average Ta'Ruui is capable of minor magics/manipulation of energies, but they are very good with their brawn. Their bodies are solid muscle, and they can easily crush a larger opponent. They are also able to do delicate tasks despite only having three digits on each hand. This of course varies with some subspecies, who can have higher then average magic abilities and traits due to selective breeding.

Religion: Ta'Ruui are not highly religious, but all revere one deity: Secha'Ruuia, The Serpent Mother. She is believed to reside in a den of stars where she can watch over her people whom are scattered across the universe. Secha'Ruuia is called upon for good luck, blessings, wishes of love, and for vengeance.

Ta'Ruui Subspecies:

Ta'Ruui subspecies did not exist until after their captivity, were their masters selectively bred them over many generations. The Ta'Ruui have been enslaved for many generations, and their captor's technology allowed them to alter and evolve their offspring more quickly to their liking and against their will. These are only some of them and their unique traits:

Mala'Ruui - The winged Ta'Ruui. These swift and powerful fliers are good messengers and warriors in battle. They tend to startle easily and are more difficult to gain the trust of, but as usual when you do they are very affectionate. This subspecies is especially alert and prone to startling and becoming aggressive, and need additional training and companionship. To enfold you in their wings is a great complement.

Hexa'Ruui - These thinner, more agile Ta'Ruui have heightened magical abilities, and often need to be contained and controlled with collars or devices. They have four limbs instead of two, and are excellent at delicate work. They also possess a larger fifth eye which can see in extra wavelengths. Hexa'Ruui tend to be more fragile and smaller then their other kin.

Gora'Ruui -  Nicknamed the world gorger Ta'Ruui, these monstrous Ta'Ruui have been changed for the worst. Unlike their kin they never stop growing through their lives and become massive. They are still intelligent, but do not have much magical potential to show for it. They do not have any limbs at all, except for horrible extensions of their massive hoods. They are often used to protect estates, property, or perform in gladiatorial battles. As they get older and larger they are harder to keep, with the sheer amount of food they possess and difficulty containing them, not to mention requiring to be kept in pairs. And Gora'Ruui are extremely aware of their power. When all else fails they are usually executed if they begin to be a problem.

Tora'Ruui - Tora'Ruui are the biped members of the Ta'Ruui, created to fulfill various menial tasks that are better suited to one with humanoid limbs. They often act in armies as fighters and assassins. They are also the most prone to escaping along with the Gora'Ruui. Out of all the Ta'Ruui, the Tora'Ruui are least affected by lack of companionship, but they still crave it and function best with it. They will not wither like many of their kin.

Kitha'Ruui - The Dragons of all the kin, the Kitha are quadruped Ta'Ruui that are used for multiple purposes. They are no less intelligent then their kin, but are treated as if they are. They can be used as both beasts of burden, guardians, or hunters. Like all Ta'Ruui they seek to please their 'community', and will actively track down and hunt other members of their kind at their command.

Prima'Ruui - The Prima'Ruui were aquatic predators who had lungs that allowed them to go on land extensively. But they are built for the water and don't have the strong vermiform body their descendants have-though they have those supporting tentacles to help out. They do have small beaks! Prima'Ruui had large underwater colonies and were fairly intelligent, but like their decendants have no specified genders.

There are constantly more being done to this long enslaved race, with more subspecies and alterations are done upon them. But there is hope on the horizon for them, as their mysteries will slowly be unveiled over time.
