Hibiscus Beach is beach inhabited by mostly blue pikmin. The pikmin who takes care of the beach is a strangely colored red pikmin named Beachside.
Overview:
Hibiscus Beach is basically just a normal beach. There is sand and seashells everywhere. Hibiscus flowers and palm trees are everywhere. The pikmin in the area use the palm trees as shade trees. There's not very many monsters/enemies here. The most common are Wogpoles/Wolpoles. But Wollywogs/Wollyhops are also in the area but are very rare since most of the pikmin just kill them when spotted. Bulborbs and Bulbears tend to show up from the area known as "The Monster's Den" which tends to send the blues that live here into panic mode.
In-game, this is an area where you can find blue pikmin but strangely, the onion will not follow you into the night and all of the blue pikmin who already live in the area will just retreat to the onion that doesn't follow your ship. These blue pikmin also wear things like flower crowns to help tell them apart.
The strangely colored pikmin, Beachside cares for everything. He is too independent to be controlled like regular pikmin but he will help you at times. The blue pikmin tend to be rude to strangers with one of the only nice blues being one named Bluebell (she is the one to make the flower crowns that most of the pikmin wear and she cares for the flowers in the area).
But if you want to go to this area to look for enemies to kill or to hope to take the blue onion with you, you're out of luck. But, you can collect the seashells for some pokos. (the seashells respawn every few days and are valued at around 100 pokos each!) And sometimes, a blue pikmin named Robin will bring things from the forest. Feel free to collect those (if Robin will let you. (They are mostly objects like acorns, pinecones, and berries)) Another warning is that your own pikmin may be spoiled by Beachside (and Bluebell) and may not want to work or fight or anything. All of the pikmin (including the ones you own) will prevent you from going to anywhere that's not on the map. But if you need some R&R, you may want to go here. You can also stick around until nightfall, unlike most areas!
Individual Areas:
The Campfire Area:
This place is the most popular area to hang out in. The campfire is lit up every sunset for warmth, but you can cook some food there! (Although the pikmin here don't tend to eat meat unless they are given it by someone else or are using meat from a dead bulborb they killed which is rare). There's also a shade tree where most pikmin hangout when they are not following Beachside around. There's a bench near the trunk of the tree. It's pretty nice.
“The Monster’s Den”:
There have been rumors for years about the "Monster's Den", but no one can really confirm it. The rumors say that there's a place in the area where all the monsters live. A lot of pikmin like to try to find the den, but either the pikmin never returns or finds nothing.
Blue Pikmin Onion:
This is where the onion of all the blue pikmin is. There's not much here except a few objects that the pikmin collected. It's nothing much.
Ship/Onion Landing and the Entrance/Exit Path:
This is where the ships and onion land. It's surrounded by hibiscus flowers. It has its own shade tree. There's also the main exit/entrance path nearby.
Wanderer's Creek:
This creek was named after the many wanderers who follow the creek to the beach.
Beachside's Little Private Area:
This is where Beachside lives. He has his own shade tree (where he has his own garden and bench to sit on and relax) and a part of Wanderer's Creek goes behind it. His hut is more of a house that has a kitchen, a bedroom (which is a loft), a guest bedroom, (a bathroom if there's an au where pikmin need to use the bathroom or something lol), and a main/living room. It's a pretty nice place.
Backstory:
Hibiscus Beach (named for how common hibiscus flowers are in the area) is a beach that was discovered when a blue onion decided to show up in the nearby forest. The blues who lived in the onion took care of the beach by themselves until a strangely colored red pikmin showed up. He didn't have a name or anything, but he enjoyed staying on the beach and he cooked food for them. A few hours before evening while all the pikmin were eating, he told the blue pikmin that he didn't have a place to stay. So the blues who weren't eating worked to quickly make a hut for the red as a surprise gift. It wasn't the greatest, but it was the best they could do in one night. The blue pikmin who were eating got up and showed the red the new hut. The red was grateful and decided that night that he will live at the beach. The blue pikmin kept expanding the hut and it's now the nice looking, large hut that it is. A few days later, the red decided to name himself Beachside, after his love for Hibiscus Beach.
Please Note:
I'm not allowing people to make ocs who are a blue pikmin who lives in the onion, but you can let your oc live there (that doesn't live in that onion. You need to make a good reason that makes sense and is something you can do without me having to modify the map) if I feel comfortable with you having your oc live here (I might say no sadly). And you can have your oc visit of course!
