Draqousé ( previously named Auriolce ) is a medieval / victorian era mix of a world that instead of humans is occupied by dragons. Ancient dragons are all-powerful dragons who live much longer and are much more powerful than that of normal dragons.

Most dragons have human forms and are in human forms due to it being much more conveniant to fit in small comfortable areas. There are MANY dragons of course, so most of them are in their human forms. Their wings, tail, and horns if they have any, still show though.

Some dragons are "fused" with normal species of animals or insects. Sometimes they just look alike to lure predators of those animals and kill them for food.

Often times, many dragons passed down this tale from their ancestors as a bed-time story to their young.

"A long time ago. A very long time ago. There was a world Dragons resided in it. The world was at peace... Is what everyone prayed and wished for. The world tore apart at the seams every waking moment. The dragons destroyed their own world, and remade it. Over. And over. and over. and over. This would go on for however many years long, as long as they wished or wanted. Chaos reigned. But then, many mighty dragons rose up in rebellion. A war broke out between the ancients and the rebelling dragons, named the "Mavericks". Nothing knew peace then. After a long and tiring battle, the rebels finally won against the ancients. The world. Was back at peace. For now."

To sum it all up, ancient dragons basically ruled the world. They would do whatever they like to the earth as they see fit, and nobody could argue about it or they'd get executed, killed, punished, etc, usually. Many brave rebels stepped up with their lives on the line to stop these foul dragons. The war took many years, but after time passed and Ancients who didn't agree with the majority of their species ideals and actions joined with the rebels, eventually allowing the Mavericks to steal the win with the strength of the peaceful Ancients.

Despite what side which Ancients were on, a spell was cast to put all ancients to sleep, or physically immobalized or paralyzed in some way or shape. (Turned into statue, literally paralyzed, sleep spells, sunken to the bottom of an ocean, etc - some people have voiced concern that if the spell wears off passive ancients will become agressive due to being immobilized even when they were on the Mavericks side ).

But, ancient dragons live much much longer than normal dragons. The effects will eventually wear off, and the Ancients will keep on waging their war until all the other dragons are either kneeling, or dead. It would be very hard to form peace between all Ancients.

Only a select few things can kill them permenantly - anything that is as strong as them or stronger are the only things that can or will kill ancients. Many of the things stronger are unable to be achieved even with the highest efforts ( the sun or celestial beings, comets / meteors, etc ). So, this only leaves really one available option; Recruit the ancients on their side - which is how they won the war in the first place.

They try to search out for these remaining 32 ( and maybe growing population, Ancient Dragons birth is a weird phenamonon and nobody really knows how it happens other than the Ancients themselves ) of ancient dragons in order to recruit the friendlier ones, or to try and make the spell last longer. But they're hidden very carefully, so it'll only be a matter of time before one wakes up eventually and wreaks havoc. Just one grown dragon alone can burn down entire villages, and maybe even continents if there are at least 4; so all of the normal dragons worry is not overexaggerated.

It will be a long and frivalous journey, but it will be done - otherwise the cost of their life is at stake.
