THE PLANETS

Jirderna is a solar system in the Andromeda Galaxy which consists of 6 planets. In order from the sun-like orb in the center out, they are Jibril, Ruidia, Despairta, Roztopia, Nameless, and Atlantasia

The Sun-Like Orb (Dazzling Light):
There is no real name to the sun, it once used to have a name but it has been lost in time. The inhabitants of Jirderna simply refer to it as their sun, or the dazzling light. There is life on this orb, though it is mostly forms of bacteria which fluctuate in form similar to how the shapeshifters do. These fluctuations cause the orb to shift colors, and as such it is often many different shades anywhere from white to yellow to reddish to having very pale blue flecks.

Jibril:
Jibril is a planet full of many biomes, so that it can be a home to any sort of creature in any form. Mostly it is populated by shifters with human forms who care little for the ways of city life, and would prefer to roam wild, as well as shifters who don't have human forms, but are either physically unsuited for life in a city or care little to be a companion or pet to someone in the city.

Ruidia:
This planet is mostly forested, with rivers and lakes. It is a beautiful place whose main civilization is governed by the Jergen royal family, a fair monarchy loved by all its people.

Despairta:
An unpleasant place to find yourself, mostly a wasteland. There is a weapons bank stored there, as well as many implements of torture for use on the worst criminals and Xavier.

Roztopia:
The main planet of the solar system, very modern and futuristic in some ways. It and the rest of the solar system are ruled by the Empress of Evil and the Dark Lord of Evil, though they mainly reside on Roztopia.
There are multiple country-like states on Roztopia, which each house shifters of similar kinds. It's set up in a society such that shifters who have forms similar to each other can live together. The main countries are as such:
-Klewaite: the ancients, those with forms similar to dinosaurs, that on Earth would already be extinct. Klewatians are governed by Lexa, who helps resolve any conflicts and reports to Leo, the Chief Executive Wizard, who is right hand to the Empress and the Dark Lord.
-Ghrean: the felines, those with human forms as well as a feline. Ghreans tend to show extreme loyalty to Omeer, as he is somewhat of a legend among their members. They are governed by twin sisters Keika and Lukah who both report back to Leo, as well as their father Omeer.
-Vypeare: the draconic races, those with forms similar to dragons, that on Earth do not exist. Vypeareans are governed by Delt, who reports back to Leo, and is particularly close friends with the Empress and Dark Lord.
-more to be added to this section later

Nameless:
This planet is mostly sand, a desert in a way. There are oceans to it, but they are small, and the water there is undrinkable. To survive on Nameless one needs the highest tech for survivalism, as there are no creatures there save a few who have been put into a sort of exile. The planet has no real purpose, it is just a wasteland that has some untapped potential.

Atlantasia:
A water planet, mostly a giant ocean which is home to many creatures, some known to be also present in Earth's oceans, some completely unique to the solar system itself. This is mostly used as a sort of vacation-place, as there are a few small islands, and some boats. It is frequented by shapeshifters who grow tired of the land of the other planets.

THE CREATURES

Jirderna is comprised of shapeshifters. Nearly every creature on Jirderna has at least two forms, with the amount of forms changing based on power level of the shifter itself. Most shifters have a human/humanoid form and a form that can be virtually any creature imaginable. It is rare that a shifter has more than three forms, and shifters that have more than five forms are generally in positions of great power in the societies.

Every shifter is documented at birth, and then monitored as they grow older to observe how many forms they will have, what the forms are, and what distinctive characteristics of each form are. This concept is one that is generally unique to Jirderna, as in places such as Earth, humans would cry out that it is an invasion of privacy. The importance of this system is such that if something were to go wrong, and a shifter go missing, they can be identified by any of the feline monitors of the planet they are found to be on. These feline monitors, colloquially known as the spycats, report back to the Lord of the Loafs, Omeer. Through this method of having the feline monitors watch everywhere, crime is very low, since there is no getting around having one find out.

There are only two shifters who have unlimited power, those being the Empress and the Dark Lord. Their power is unmatched by any other creature in this world, as the Empress created the world, and in doing so, she was exposed to magic unknown to any other being, which was quite overwhelming, until she shared it with Dark Lord Latri. The Empress brought some creatures from Earth with her as she escaped from the horrors it had to offer, and in doing so, the residual magic she left free on the planet imbued itself into the creatures, altering their DNA and allowing them to shift forms. This was the dawn of the shapeshifters, and thus power can be traced down through the families that have been established.

There are very few creatures who live in Jirderna who are unable to shift form, but it is not unheard of. It is usually caused by a genetic mutation of some sort which overrides the gene for shifting, and can produce any sort of magically-induced mutation, such as in the case of Xavier, who has the ability to regenerate after death, thus in a way, being a true immortal.

Shifters change effortlessly from one of their forms to another, as the shift itself requires very little energy. They are also capable of holding forms that are intermediately between their forms, such as the Loaf Lord, who can shift just his hands into paws with deadly claws if the need arises. Holding a shape between forms requires a lot of energy though, and must be practiced before it can be mastered, as most weak shifters would collapse from exertion after just a minute or two. This is due to the fact that the cells in the body do not like being in a transition state, and would prefer to be either fully one form or another, rather than a mix. This instability requires a lot of energy, as cells consistently shift back and forth to try to maintain an equilibrium to no avail.
