Terms of Service

* This TOS applies to both Shengxiao & Qinghua CS created by Parfaits / parfaitsugar.

• This closed species is intended for personal use only, please do not make any profit off any characters belonging to this species.
• This species is not to be used in commercial work (i.e. books, merchandise created to be sold at a profit).
• As with any closed species, no one should make their own besides the creators. You may create your own only if permission is granted or you have been given or purchased an MYO (make-your-own) slot.
• ShengXiao / Qinghua, and any of their sub-species / cameo species can only be made by Parfaits / parfaitsugar under the (CS name) label. CS credits should be attributed to either of these accounts. You may not claim the species as yours.
• The closed species (whole concept) + lore belongs to me, but not the original myths / original animals.
• I do not claim ownership of the canonical Chinese Zodiac, canonical myths, and canonical animals that inspired these species.

• After obtaining a character of the CS, please feel free to give your character a name, gender, backstory, as with any original character; I will be happy to hear about what you did with your character or any progress with your designs. Hope all of the characters will go to a good home and owner!
• You may use your CS character outside of their respective world / groups, in rp besides the ones there. Participation is not compulsory for group rp / events, feel free to just enjoy the lore and designs.
• You may commission artworks / art pieces for characters belonging to this species. Artwork should be credited to the rightful maker of the artwork.
• As an artist, if approached by an owner of this species for commission work, you may accept commissions to work on art for characters of this species.

• Before regifting, trading or reselling, please make sure the receiving party is aware that the character is part of a CS and of this TOS!
• You may regift adopts or MYO characters created of these species. After regifting, the character is considered to have been obtained for free.
• You may trade / resell the character only for the price you paid for it; character’s resell price should not exceed the price that they were bought / paid for.
• If you have commissioned artwork for the character, you may add on the commissioned artwork’s price to the character’s total price.
• If you obtained an official CS character from a giveaway, raffle or free MYO custom commission slot (i.e. an official / pre-drawn design by Parfaits for free), you may not trade or resell the character. Only regifting is allowed. Exceptions for trading / reselling are: if you have commissioned artwork for the design, after which the trade / resell terms stated above would apply.
• If you obtained a CS through a free MYO slot and designed and drew it yourself (i.e. not an official / pre-drawn adopt or custom design by Parfaits), you may regift or trade away the character. You may only resell if you have commissioned / bought artwork for it, upon which the same rules for reselling stated above apply.
• Please update me if you have regifted / traded or resold your CS character so I may update the respective CS masterlist. You may also contact me if you are unsure of the regift / trade / resell status of your character.

As either species progresses, more rules may be appended to this TOS.

Shengxiao Species Launch Event + free Shengxiao event MYO 

• This CS is currently in "closed-beta" mode. As it is undergoing developments, please do not repost any information or artwork outside of this world. Discussion is permitted in the Species Discussion Thread.
• As the species progresses, more rules may be appended to this document (TOS).
• Please do not be rude or argue with any other members in this group! Good vibes only + keep the discussions SFW so everyone can enjoy it. If you have an issue with another user feel free to note me.

• Each MYO slot comprises one character + any of the character's additional forms (total 3 forms each unless specified).
• Please do not use the individual Shengxiao forms as separate characters.
• While an MYO slot grants you freedom of design, please do not plagiarise from canonical characters, other user's designs (without permission), or steal any artwork. Basically, don't break any copyright law.

May 15th Updates:

• All unused free Shengxiao MYO slots from Species Launch event are now bound to user.
• Unused free Shengxiao MYO slots from this may no longer be gifted or traded (or resold). They can only be claimed to make a character or dropped if the user does not want it anymore.
• The above specified rule is to prevent misuse of unused MYO slots since there is now a limit implemented on the free Shengxiao MYO quantity.
• However, if you choose to use your slot to make a character:
  You may regift the free Shengxiao MYO you created from this event. Trading is also permitted if you designed the character yourself. Please see above Terms on Regifting / Trading / Reselling for more details.

• Until the world is launched officially, there is currently no deadline for submitting the design of each MYO slot.
• However, once the world is officially launched, to prevent misuse of free MYO slots, all unused free MYO slots will expire.
• Unused MYO slots apply to slots where an official application / design has not been submitted (i.e. blank characters).

• 20th May update: All 90 free Shengxiao MYO slots claimed / reserved so these sections (below) no longer apply!
• MYO from the Species Creation event are given as free MYO slots for joining this world at this point of time (when the species is undergoing development).
• Each user that joins is given one free MYO slot if they choose to redeem it.
• You may gift away MYO slots not used in this event within this World (however please notify me first! so I can update the slot masterlist).
• If you desire more than one MYO slot, another user from within the world may gift their slot to you, or another user from outside the world may gift theirs to you, provided they meet the requirements to join the world (i.e. post a bulletin).

• If any of the rules are broken, it may result in a blacklist / ban depending on the severity. Currently there are no users blacklisted / banned from either species, let's keep it that way!
• Feel free to ask if there's any questions or stuff you're not sure of! I won't bite. Occasionally I might post with my alternate parfaitsugar or the mod account ShengXiao.
