An informed navigation of the psiridic mindscape, gradually and safely introduced, is largely positive and mind-expanding. It often gives users a renewed understanding of the world, new points of view to examine it in, prospects of new depths to explore.
But the lack of a proper introduction or support system — at worst, the complete obliviousness to one's connection and the context of Psiridea — has caused people a lot of distress and confusion before. In rare cases, they thought of themselves as mentally ill.
Inevitably, we should mention the risk of exposure to unsafe triggering thoughts, particularly for the more vulnerable people, or the risk of "bad apples" intentionally attacking people with harmful thought. But we will go more in-depth about it in future documents.
We want to prevent traumatic experiences from happening within such a direct channel to the mind, because of said channel, as much as we can.
This is why we specialists do our best to maintain the psiridic mindscape as safely navigable as possible, regularly containing traumagenic residue and inviting users to vent their thoughts out in dedicated domains, and of course always researching and testing psiridic manipulation methods.
This is also why we decided to actively limit Psiridea's influence within the Sanctum, where the size and density of the mindscape is still manageable.
