Halloween City is a city not so different from the ones we are familiar with. There are buildings that scrape the sky, corner delis, public parks and dark back alleys. However, this city is unlike ours... in that it is home to monsters! Everything from vampires to werewolves to demons to kelpies live in this city: many of the scary creatures that haunt our nightmares, and many that humanity has never heard of before! After all, these creatures reside in a dimension very close to ours, and only some dare to find ways to get to the other side. They are bound by a strict set of rules, with the penalty for breaking them being that they can never return to their homes, friends and families. Even for monsters, that's a very scary thing.

Of course, just like monsters can come to our world, sometimes humans find their way into Halloween City. If they can manage to survive, they might just be able to learn the secrets of magic. If not, perhaps they become a monster themselves (though some humans choose this fate)!
