Lutum is a world ruled by alchemy and magic, tethered to ancient beings and doorways.

There are four races living among one another on Lutum: the industrious Capra, the hotblooded Cyno, the cunning Felin, and the nomadic Lagos. Schoenus is the dominant power of the north, a medium sized country ruled largely by a Capra populace. It commands a sizeable naval force, finding strength in its fishing and agricultural economies. Across the straits to the north is North Reach, a large territory with only a single coastal settlement, primarily populated by Cyno fishermen and whalers. In the east, Torrens and Saxum form a small trade empire from farming, logging, and mining. Torrens makes heavy use of fertile delta marshlands, hosting a sizeable Felin population. Saxum is home mostly to the Cyno, being rugged enough to make a living in the boreal and alpine mountainlands. The country of Nemus controls a fair amount of territory south of Torrens and Saxum. Nemus is heavily forested, bordering pampas grassland. The small territory of Mucro remains largely disorganized with no true central government, but with the cultural center of Lepus, a hobbled together city of adobe and tents that is home to the Lagos and whatever other merchants pass through. To the far south resides the Edgelands, a wide and barren wilderness that cuts off the northern countries of Lutum. The Edge is a dangerous, lawless place, known for harboring ancient ruins, bandits, and unearthly creatures. Demon citadels rise from the sands like mirages, and those who enter the Edge from the north don't usually make it back alive.
