The story takes place on an alternate universe where instead of just humans, there are humanoids and anthropomorphic animals. Humanoids are the minority. Specifically, this story takes place in Las Vegas. The main base of the mafia is a strip club/casino. The base is a large one story building with a basement with the hidden rooms in it. There would be one area for gambling, and another for just the strippers. There is an area to perform in the gambling area as well, and despite some overlap, there is still separation. The offices are downstairs, like the medical ward, the shark tank, and offices.

Anthros: Anthropomorphic animals. They're the majority of the population, and can be any animal. Most are mammals, though you get the occasional bird or reptile every now and then. 

Humanoids: Creatures than resemble humans. They're a minority. They're often heavily sexualized by anthros due to the fact they're seen as "exotic" and "intriguing". In some of the badder parts of the city, humanoids can be abducted as they are seen as valuable and lots of people are interested in them.
