Around 2037, scientists found a plant in the Amazon Forest named the Criaturia(kr-e-ah-tur-ia). The Criaturia plant was tested for medicine and an accident happened.The plant’s pollen got into the ocean. After many years the Criaturia plant’s pollen was all over the world! The plant was able to make a normal human into a Criaturian(kr-e-ah-tur-ian). At first doctors thought it was diseases and many humans attacked Criaturians but after a long time Criaturians became normal. More than 96% of the world were Criaturians. Everyone was part animal! The animal wasn’t based off of your heritage though, it was something much deeper. The way your animal was chosen is through your spirit. Otherwise known as your spirit animal is your Criaturian part. 

About Criaturian/ Criaturians:

Criaturians are a humanoid species known for their animal features. For example; if one’s spirit animal is a British Shorthair cat, than they would have the cat’s features like a tail or cat ears. Males tend to grow more fur in places like the spine area and chin. Females tend to have less fur than males, it all depends on the animal. Females also can have a lot of children depending on the animal, like feline Criaturians have twins often when they do have children. Criaturians also have advantages with their animals such as: Wings for the bird Criaturians to fly, aquatic Criaturians can swim faster, bat Criaturians can naturally hear better, and other stuff like that. Criaturians do have special abilities, like superpowers! Depending on what your spirit animal is, you can have that animal’s abilities. An emperor penguin can resist freezing temperatures and can have very minimal ice/snow powers. A broad-tailed hummingbird Criaturian can be very fast, flying or not. The person also depends on the abilities, someone can be a German Sheppard Criaturian and not have the same abilities as another German Sheppard Criaturian. 

 Criaturians also, though they are rare, have mutations. Some Criaturians get toe pads on their hands or get extra limbs like extra animal tails. Baby Craiturians are born with toe pads (if their spirit animal has toe pads) often but they disappear as they grow older. Also very rare but they are sometimes born with unordinary fur/scale/feather/extra colors. Some disadvantages to this species is some of the animal parts can be difficult to work with like the big wings of a harpy eagle Criaturian or a leopard gecko Criaturian’s tail. It can be difficult to move around with or do simple tasks like putting on clothes.
