If you're here, you've probably seen one of our citizens floating around, either through events, sales, or maybe just seeing someone else's. Whatever the reason, we'd like to give you a hearty welcome and a few pointers to help you get started. First and foremost, we want to emphasize from the beginning that we aren't an ARPG - you don't have to draw or roleplay a single thing to get involved here! While we encourage all sorts of activity, what we are is a friendly community with with several different ways to earn fun and interesting designs, we've got something for just about everyone!

First of all, how do I join?!
Good question - you can start by joining the world! Our main hub is actually on Discord, but we have outposts here, on Deviant Art, and on Basilisk Stew. You can join any or all of these! If we have any exclusive events, they'll be on Discord or BS, but the majority of large or long-running events will be hosted on all four.

If you want to jump in ASAP, join our Discord and link your TH account! We give away completely free citizens to newbies who have three or less citizens already, so it's a great way to jump start your interaction.

What is a "citizen?"
A citizen is any individual in the world of Animalia! They are sapient, anthropomorphic beings; while many are furry or scaly, there are more exotic races including humanoid flowers and mushrooms! For the purposes of our game, citizens would be considered our 'closed species.' While we do not claim rights over all anthro characters as a whole (obviously!), inhabitants of this world - collectively known as citizens - cannot be created or used without permission from one of our designers or admins. In a shorter way, citizens are the adopts that we offer!

What is "wishing?"
If you hear someone talking about wishing here, they're probably referring to the game mechanic. Wishing is akin to what breeding is in other collectible or ARPG species/games - new citizens are generated from two to four existing designs. Unlike most systems, however, these new citizens aren't related to the new ones, so you don't have to worry about tracking family lines or anything like that. Just have fun and smush designs!

Okay, okay, so how do I get a citizen? Can I make my own?
There's lots of ways, but you can't just make your own - not normally, anyway! We use a set style of lineart for this group, so make-your-own events are pretty rare. The easiest way is to check if there's any sales or events open; if you want to spend money, there might be adopts open or slots from designers open. If you don't, there's freebie events quite often, so check for those too! If nothing's available, just hang around. Even better, come and join our community; members will often gift designs from wishing to new members, and if not, many times our designers will give you a starter citizen to get you going. In short, there's a lot of ways to join up, including claiming a newbie citizen as mentioned before. All you really have to do is jump in and get involved!
