The Speerites
Type of Government: Speerites tend to be loners by nature and don’t really have a codified government. It’s generally agreed upon that the elders of the species are to be listened to. Within their settlements they’ll follow the advice of the elders, but may not listen to an elder visiting from a different settlement. When visiting a different settlement, it’s expected to follow the way things are done there, which includes doing things the elders there tell them. This is distasteful to many speerites and as such is the reason why many of them don’t travel to other speerite settlements.

The Virispree
Type of Government: Virispree have elders who run their settlements, but they also have individuals who are in charge of the various guild factions. Factions are most often self-governing. At the head of each faction is a council of three and they make the decisions for the local branch of the faction. The elders who sit on the council vary in number depending on the size of the settlement, but it’s never fewer than three and always an odd number in case a tie needs to be broken. If a faction has a bigger problem than it can deal with, then it brings it to the attention of the elder council.

The Wilderspree
Type of Government: To an outside observer the wilderspree are far stricter than their virispree cousins. This is only partly true. The settlement elders run everything, but they meet with the faction heads to make sure things are running smoothly. Each faction only has one leader.
