The story follows the life of the lesser demon Okuraz, and the archangel Razael. Who become roomies after a drunken bet, and later fall in love.
Not going to be 100% accurate with anything religious. Henzil is the world where angels and demons call home. Most can freely visit as long as they behave.
Holy water/Hellfire cause a burning sensation on angels/demons. These burns are healed with the opposite item. If the water/fire is a much larger burn and they've managed to use the opposite item they'll be left with faint burn marks and aches for a couple days. Within these days they can easily get sick and could be killed this way. Angels get high fevers while demons get terrible colds. They can kill within a day or up to three if not treated properly. If 50% or more of their body is covered then they'll die quickly just to wake up in Heaven/Hell. If they're fully drenched in it than they'll die for good. This is the only way to kill an angel/demon permanently.
Higher up angels and demons can survive slightly more than 50% if they're treated quickly.
Angels and demons can poof away their wings/halos/tails/horns. All are poofed or none are poofed. This is how they fit in with humans down on Alruna.
Normal angels only have wings. Archangels have an extra smaller pair and a furred tail.
Humans that became angels have wings and a halo. The halo/wing color varies. Normally lighter in color.
Death of old age gets a faded yellow halo/wings
Normal demons have wings, tails, and horns
Humans that become demons have wings and horns but no tails. The color of their horns/wings varies. Normally darker in color
Death of old age get a dark red
The archangels/fallen archangels get traits of what their constellation is, or random if the constellation wasn't an animal. For example, Belial made Lyra, the lyre. His traits were random and he ended up with ferret traits. Another example is Samael. He made Leo and has cat traits. They have traits of their animal, like Belial likes hoarding things, Sam likes cat naps, and also their noises, chittering for Belial and purring for Sam. Archangels have more minor traits and no noises. For example Razael made the bird of paradise. He likes keeping his wings clean and looks like a happy bird when he's happy. Arches, lessers, and former humans can get these traits in two ways. The first is to fall in love with a fallen arch. The lover will get the traits of the one they love. Chamuel is an example of this. He was dating Izari, who had crow noises due to making Corvus. He lost the crow noises when they broke up, but gained his own noises due to that. This is why he can make dove noises since he made Columba. The second way to get traits is by having a close bond with an animal that is either immortal, or in Heaven, Henzil, or Hell. Oku is an example of this one. He had a close bond with Revere, one of Raz's cats, and once he saw Revere in Hell he got cat traits from him. These noises also pass onto the lover.
Arches and fallen arches will take lessers and former humans under their wing. Once a lesser has reach the age of 10 to 20 they're normally assigned someone to work under. The same goes for former humans after they learn about Henzil, Heaven, and Hell. Transfer can happen if needed.
Fallen Archangels/angels have black feathers that grow back after a year. Blood feathers can take longer to grow in
Risen demons end up with angel wings and a furred tail
When an angel/demon dies they're sent to their respective wing. That's where an arch/fallen arch will check on them, then send them to the Henzil wing, or to Raphael. When they wake up they'll find they have whatever they had on them when they died. Clothes, items, ect. The body back on Alruna will disappear after sometime.
Once an angel/demon has reached between the age of 10 and 100 they'll get a century sickness, and will be able to summon their weapon after they get over it. More about that in the Sicknesses page.
Angels are know for their amazing singing voices, while demons are known to be skilled at dancing.
