WIPWIP info dump, more organization and illustrations when i can.
racers are ok to make by other ppl but warning this is wip and changes might occur....

BASICS: Each racer has a number assigned to them, and their own sponsor that they represent. Racers all begin with the same starting body build. Body is modifiable with some restrictions. Starting kit does not include head, creating a racer's own custom head is the only modification that is a requirement.

btYEutu.png1. RACER MUST ACT ON OWN INTELLIGENCE. NO CONTROLLING REMOTELY.
2. ALTERATIONS MADE CAN NOT EXCEED 75% OF STARTING BODY STANDARDS

►► SUPPLEMENTAL INFO, THOUGHTS:

+ Upgrade rules are an attempt at standardization and keeping the playing field level. Replacing custom-made parts has no limit, but any standard body part edited takes up part of the allowed alteration percentage.

+ Making enhancements can be helpful but also leaves less percentage open for future repairs that could be needed. Therefor limiting body mods could be advantageous for a long term strategy.

+ AI builds up learning experiences with each race. Newer technology is always coming out though, which means new robots can have advantages over even well learned AIs.

+ more rules - racers cant attack each other - no wheels, racers have to "run"

+ Like the idea of 1-2 people tied to building/maintaining each robot instead of a large team. Like a vibe similar to Digimon with a person/robot partnership. They would be there during race to act as maintenance (and have a cute pit crew outfit....)

+ BETTING. A racer's odds are a measurement of success. There is big money to be made from betting which creates an incentive to illicitly influence results.

+ Takes place in our universe, not necessarily far in the future, just an alternative version of our life where AI is a possibility lol.

+ Want the vibe/look/rules to be a mixture of racecar/motorcycle/bicycle racing eh....... old thoughts on aesthetic themes.

+ STANDARD STARTER BODY +
Standard body is based on greyhounds. Smooth outer 'skin', with nubby feet. Not a lot of muscle definition since underneath is all mechanical.. The standard body has no 'seams'. *this image needs to be updated but you get the gist....

Example racer with entirely standard body.
The most basic design is to only build a custom head.
Example racer with numerous upgrades. This racer is pushing the 75% upgrade limit.

-------------------/ CIRCUITS /-------------------

Races take place all over the world. Some of the circuits:

1. Pro -- big gambling crowd $$$$$, televised, top in the world,  take place on pavement tracks - There are indoor stadium tracks but also outdoor tracks that go through city streets etc.
+ similar in scope and with track layouts like this ?? [x] doesnt have to be stadiums [x] larger ones? [x]
2. Amateur circuit - really WIP - races looks like track and field races, less high risk entry fees - this is where builders are scouted by sponsors to bring into pro league - generally race robots are just an expensive hobby for anyone not in pro league, it isn't really possible to make a living unless you are sponsored
3. Underground -- illegal street races, flashier more dangerous robots - no regulations - sabotage ok etc. (this is on the backburner right now)
+ I just.. want really dumb fast and the furious garbage hahhh [x], [x]

Blah blah this part especially need to work on ..................

▒▓▓ Rules for Creation ▓▓▒

+ Only rule is don't duplicate my character's head designs or markings. Any overlapping numbers and sponsorships is fine though.

+  You're not necessary to follow my guidelines, they are all just for fun. Body restrictions can be ignored if you like, they're mostly for consistency sake and to be easier to design.

- how races work (rules & regulations)
- robot building regulations - ie the no wheels rule
- how robot AI works/general info on programming aspect of it
- partnership - ie the role of the builder behind the robot
- sponsorship - what it means to have a sponsor - the role robots play in advertising and the unspoken guidelines to not losing sponsorship
- betting - how it works, how it influences racers and partners, how it influences viewership
