THE NEEDLETOOTH SPECIES

The Jikamba are native to Earth, having made their way scurrying among dust-bunnies, living in the hidden places and using what we have lost between the cushions. This species is made up of tiny squirrel sized dragons with special fur and teeth. They are welcome in the Archipelago, but do not permanently reside there as a species. Some Jikamba have shops set up in the main town, selling things they've made to travelers. 

They are small, soft, dragon-like creatures.They have two sets of front legs, and one set of back legs.Their front "arms" have opposable thumbs, all paws have retractable claws. These creatures are very intelligent, quick and each one's personality is unique.They have multiple sensory feelers on their bodies, the typical amount is 8, six on the head and two on the snout.The shape, size, length and color of these can vary greatly, and can rarely occur on their shoulders, backs, and top of their snout as well. Their feelers help them navigate. They are very curious, and act as tailors, for themselves and others. So they are always searching around for trinkets and valuable items to add to their work, or their appearance.

The feelers can also sense auras and magic, while Jikamba are unable to use magic themselves, they can collect it, store it in items, and even wear it sometimes. The feelers can vary in shape and length. Their fur is very soft, but has a "catching" ability, sort of like microfiber cloth, or Velcro and they can adhere found items to themselves. Their teeth are their most interesting feature however. They have four fangs at the front of their mouth, usually they have a special shape to them, a hook, a split, or a hole. Jikamba use their teeth and their retractable claws to stitch together all sorts of materials very quickly. They can create elaborate embroidery in a matter of minutes, and sew up rips and tears well enough that you can hardly tell there was damage.

They are a peaceful species and have little difficulty coming to and from the Archipelago, and will often travel from Earth to there and back several times a week. Others have taken up residence in Crossroads Capital, selling the goods their family makes. Some others still live solely on Earth, uninterested in traversing realms, content to live out their lives simply beneath a sofa or two. If you have a Jikamba, it is entirely within the canon to have them live in either world. :)
