It has been 120 years since humanity's final journey to the now-aquatic planet of Eden, once thought to be Earth's perfect twin. What was once the human race has split along three paths...

The Children of the Origin seek to live as their ancestors on Earth did, but more sustainably. Residing on the small islands dotting the vast ocean, they build towering vertical forest-cities. While they don't seek to change, evolution slowly but surely finds a way.

The Children of the Deep live underwater, recreating their bodies with cybernetic technology to adapt to the weight of the ocean. These people have shed their ideals of humanity, and live as they think makes sense for the environment they're in.

The Children of the Light live in floating cities in the sky, cobbled together from bamboo and bone. They view themselves as the next step after humanity, and modify their bodies with bio-engineering to be lighter, more bird-like.

Each civilization is ruled by some of the planet's original settlers, each maintaining immortality by means unknown to the general populace. And while each civilization thinks themself the perfect solution to the planet they live on, none are without their problems.

Eden is meant to be an experiment in collaborative world-building and story-telling. While roleplay is not dis-allowed, I would encourage you to instead collaborate in other ways. Short stories interweaving with each other, illustrations introducing new concepts, short comics filling in important moments.

Eden is an 18+ world, and topics that some may find difficult or triggering are allowed, so long as they are handled with tact. It is LGBTQ+ friendly.
