In PSMD (Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon) Nuzleaf sends the hero's souls to a place called the Voidlands after turning them into stone, a nasty and gnarly alternate dimension to the Pokemon World that is connected to Dark Matter and the negative energy of all the Pokemon. As more and more Pokemon are turned to stone the more and more crowded that the Voidlands get. Soon, the heroes make it to the end of the Voidlands, hope to fill the trapped souls of the Voidlands for the hero to rescue them from their statue prisons. However, the heroes fail in trying to escape the Voidlands, the Door of Light closes and the heroes are never seen again, some believe that the heroes did make it to their world, claiming that there is still hope for them others claim that the hero still wanders in the Voidlands, in pity and hurt for their failed attempt of saving the Pokemon World, yet, walking among the inhabitants of the Voidlands as one of them. No longer a hero or a savior in the cruel lands of the hellscape and as time continues slowly and mercilessly,  the more the Pokemon of the Voidlands lose their hope of ever seeing the sun again.

But, as the Pokemon World draws ever so nearer to the blaze of the smoldering sun, so does the dateless fury of survival in the Voidlands...
